I am looking for tips on how to acquire factional armor schematics. I am not an armorsmith...I am researching for a friend. I was told that the AS has to talk to a factional person to acquire the schematic. Is this true? Does the AS have to be a certain level?

Yes you have to talk to a factional recruit.

Plus you have to be faction related (i.e. civillians can't make factional armor).

Also you can only make factional armor related to your faction (i.e. imperial armorsmiths can't make rebel armor)

The armorsmith needs around 27k-30k faction points to get ONE full set of factional armor.

You need to me MASTER armorsmith to make factional armor (I think)

To equip factional armor you need 7700 faction points for the whole suit (yes I know its an INSANE ammount of faction points).

I think this was one of the dumbest ideas the dev's put in the game for armorsmiths. Ok so they want people to run around in faction armor but they make the requirements absolutely absurd to get. They should beat the guy who came up with the current idea. I'm not an armorsmith but I feel sorry for you guys with regards to this. Hopefully it will be adjusted to an actual normal and understandable way of crafting faction armor.

Hello all.I just reactivated my account a few days ago and have found that i do not like the CU.Not that it's bad but i have always been a solo player and it seems that I no longer am able to do that After realizing this i decided to go smuggler/as and so far i am enjoying it.

I havent made anything yet but I am in the process of gathering resources and reading up on the as proffession.

I was hoping that somebody could tell me how, or where to find the info related to faction armor.As in where do i get the schematics.

sorry if this same question is posted elsewhere but i cannot find a search button.

You buy them from a faction recruiter. Only an armorsmith can purchase them.

Great. thx for the info.I did the respec thing so i am a master armorsmith/master smuggler just need to learn everything i would have if i grinded my way there.

Oh, can u only buy the armor schematic of the faction you are a member of?

Yes, only the faction you are a member of at the time. And it is a Master Armorsmith that can buy the schematics, not just an armorsmith.
