After seeing your post I decided to test this because it would make a big difference in my template :/

It turned out to not be true. Master smuggler still gets larger eff slice than someone with just slicing 4.

I think there's a lot of confusion in the smuggler community because many are still slicing random pieces of armor. The fact is that with the CU every slice is the same. There is no more randomness. The only thing that matters is the armor rating. The higher the rating the lower the slice. In other words, if I slice 20 pieces from a crate they will all get identical eff slices.

If the armor is really crappy you'll see high eff slices like 22%. My unlayered battle is 5894, and only gets a 7% slice by a master smuggler. A slicer (only at slicing 4) gets a 3% slice on the same piece.

if you have JTL and can get into deep space, you can declare at imperial/rebel space stations from there on out all enemy faction ships you shoot down earns you faction points. tier 5 fighters give about 50 FP, corvettes 97fp(if you're imperial or you go to kessel as a rebel), gunboats 196fp

Alternately, beyond the initial purchase of faction armor schematics, one way to do it would be do faction armor on a custom order basis and add in a faction point transfer into thedeal, 1/10 the FP cost of the schematic and maybe a little extra to help build you FP stockpiles

ya I did that last night, made two layeredsuits for 10k faction each, no credits. Very starwarzy

if you want to transfer faction from your alt you'll have to use "/delegateFactionpoints" by targeting your AS. Note there is a conversion cost. I have a Colonel on Sunrunner and we had to dig our AS out of the neg faction hole. Conversion ratio was 20:17. Hopefully your combat toon has a high rank or the costs to delegate will be monstrous.
