The idea sounds good on the appearance, but I like the idea of keeping things how they are, cause it opens a market for casual AS who don't like to run factory mass productions.

Currently you have two different playstyles that can enjoy and be successful at Armorsmithing and I'd rather keep it this way. Plus it is a pleasure to have a customer come to you and ask something particular, then crafting it for him directly.

my 2 cents.

1) This is not an issue about different playstyles.

2) Thereis a recurring bug that needs to be addressed and options should be made available especially once promised to be delivered by the devs.Do you understand the difference?

3) There currently is no way of making crated armor in anything but default color scheme.

4) Have you really tried making quad layered armor yet? Do you really want to hand make that everytime for folks? I'm just wondering because the time involved would detract from you doing anything but running to factory and crafting station for all your in game time.

5) You can still custom craft and have the pleasure of direct crafting with color kits available for the customer should they want color adjusted later.

1) on my opinion it bears consequences on playstyles, since I beleive the current system encourages and opens an opportunity to two different ASmithing. read above.

2) & 3)I am not talking about the bug that I hope will be fixed soon. I do not beleive the devs intended to make all crafted armors craftable only in one default color. So assuming the bug will be fixed someday, the question is should we ask for color kits?

4) I totally know what times it involves since I am doing it in game myself. Of course, I am a casual AS like I said above. So I dunno seek to craft and sell 50 armor sets per day. I craft only custom orders (and people know it is generally expensive) and for my friends. So I kinda control how many sets I craft. A limited number of course. So I do have time to do it. Of course if I wanted to sells tones of sets I could not do it, I would need to spend all my ingame time managing my factories. This is why I beleive the current system is cool, cause there is room for both of us. If the person is not very very concerned about the colour of his armor, he will go to your shop, and buy for relatively cheap one of the many armors you have for sale on your vendor. If he really wants one armor for show and for the pleasure to wear it, maybe not the one he will wear for grind etc... he will order me one, he will wait for a day or two, and might pay a little more. In the end everyone is happy. I doubt that professional mass factory producing AS have currently financial problems, do they? And casual AS also have a chance.

5) I sincerely beleive that if people were able to buy such kits (which would most likely be craftable by artisans), they would not need to come to casual AS who enjoy and only craft by hand. They'd prefer the rapidity and cheap prices of vendors of mass factory producing armors. Colour is important for some folks, for others it isn't. It is a nice market for us.

Of course all I am saying is valid only assuming they do fix the colour bug.

There are alot of arguments for or against, and ultimately it depends on someone on the Dev team actuall doing something to implement a tool like this. The reason I would love to see customer usable armor paint-kits is so they can see how limited or un-limited the colour palettes truly are. Every Ithorian wants "all black" armor and some pieces of tantel get 1 colour choice while others 3.

Good, valid points. Responses in-line.

Unfortunately, playstyle arguments rarely carry much weight with the developers anymore. When a minority playstyle clashes against the convenience of the (largely combatant) masses, the minority playstyle generally loses out.

2) & 3)I am not talking about the bug that I hope will be fixed soon. I do not beleive the devs intended to make all crafted armors craftable only in one default color. So assuming the bug will be fixed someday, the question is should we ask for color kits?

My answer remains yes. The amount of "good" it will do for whoever produces them, the consumers who will use them andthe variance of armor colors and styles that they will induce simply outweighs the degradation of a small, minority playstyle.

This doesn't necessarily mean that armor colorization kits, if they come, will be a dime a dozen. We have no idea what kind of resources, factory components, cross-profession components, or complexity they might have. You could imagine them being as easy to make as AUKs, or as cumbersome as advanced cores.

Very valid points. I just think the customer convenience of Armor Colorization Kits is the dominant factor to consider.

More valid points. If the colorization kits are "difficult" or "expensive" to craft, they would end up being an option for the richer folks in game, and you could retain your comparative advantage for specialty colorization.

Of course all I am saying is valid only assuming they do fix the colour bug.

There's therub. We've had coloring problems cropupevery few months ever since they introduced armor colorization around publish 3.

Bah if they want to inspire us with some Entertainer buffs for color palettes , repair fixes or various crafting success, throw in the schematic to make kits too please. It really isn't hard and we were promised this a long time ago as stated earlier.
