I have crap melee defense (master rifleman/ranger)... i use 80 kin "econ-grind" comp (42k cond) 4-piece.... 700 damage t21 (pups+ADK), 3k buffs (med city+janta enhanced), i have looping macro with 1 mind shot2, and 9 headshot3, reactivates secondary macro every 10 seconds (Im speed capped).
Generally I lure the lizards past the 200m mark and lead into spawn of NPCs or animals and let THEM tank for me... I CAN solo GDK but it takes forever with the intimidate.... using the animal/npc tanks takes me about 5-10 min each if I keep feeding the rifle 33/16 damage pups. (I want a macro to do THAT for me lol)
if i manage to talk one of my meatshields.... er friendly guild members into coming GDK hunting with me, the beasties go down in under 5 min with looped strafe 2.... too bad cant use that when soloing... would wipe out my tanks heheh (unless they are stormies... my combat alt is imp after all)
killed a dozen more last night before my ISP crashed me..... no scales

60 gdks down 0 scales, i think they are racist against wookiees

Very clear that drop rates are up. Some are just luckier than others.

I guess I am the only one that finds it harder to find them now than before. I was able to find my first spawn today since the patch. And its not cause Lok is loaded with people, I have seen one person in the last week. To the guy comparing GDK to meatlumps, well not that easy but takes me about 4 minutes each as a Master Swordsman.

Update... 2hrs 15mins last night on Lok, yielded about 20 scales (can't remember exact number), and didn't count the kill's but they wer numerous. In fact i got more scales than scale segments.
They will be loaded onto my vendor tongiht, as the 16 i got the day before have already sold !

Ill be getting a suit of RIS made then im going to be helping other people in the guild by looting the parts needed so our guild Armorsmith can make it for them as well. Free of course because of my guildies it costs me almost nothing to go looting...free armor free weapons free buffs the only thing it costs me is time. But having great friends you play a game with well thats priceless.

People quit your complaining. I have killed 4-500 kimos inthe last 2 months, and until recently had found NO scales!

I agree totally....I killed hundreds also, it's the journey not the destination.

can anyone confirm GDK's are still droppin scales sinse todays patch??? i did 2 buffs out there earlier an got nothin.

how do you get 34 in 1 buff? im lucky if i find 1 or 2 GDK in 1 buff.
where do you find these guys?
