FS crafting is improving your results, its not just as visible as gatting more exp points.
your assemblys get better, your experimentation has better results, and the risk on your experimentation attempts is lowered.
less failures, more good assemblies.
fs repair is working very good, i fail a lot less then without fs repair, also i am getting more minor blemishes.
the armor repair skill is broken anyway and doesnt help you at all.
if you are looking to good good results in a short period of time you should go for fs crafting.
a non fs smith is able to hit the same results, but needs a lot more time to grind out amazings and stuff.
i did the crafting fs grind since i want to enhance my crafting, which i am keeping along with lightsaber master
and for the aditional 10 free lots though

IMO FS crafting is well worth it. While it's true that all it does is increase your chances for amazings it will impact your work. While A normal smith could spend hours crafting layers/segs in order to get that perfect amazing assembly/exp a FS crafter can do it in significantly less time, making it more likely that you will as a crafter spend the extra little time to assure you get the absolute best possible results for schematics.
Look at it this way. Any AS can spend the time to craft layer after layer until they get that double amazing. The difference between a FS smith and a normal one comes in the next stage. A FS smith might attempt to make a Seg that is also perfect, it may take a crate or two of the layers, but they would be likely to get the amazings they are looking for within that time period. A normal smith would be more likely to grind out their entire factory run trying to get that perfect seg and still stands a good chance of not hitting the amazings they are looking for, which means that most normal smiths wouldn't bother on something like segs since it would simply waste too many factory layers to be worthwhile. Same thing goes for the actual armor construction as well. If your wasting 3 diff segs on each attempt at crafting that armor, how many attempts are you going to make to get a couple extra amazings in the piece before you finally give up. As a FS crafter on my WS I can tell you that all of my components are as good as they can possibly get given my resources(server best for the most part). And while it may not appear to help alot other than on custom orders, when you start adding in the difference it makes for the stats on each little component, by the time you get to the finished product there is a noticeable difference.
It's almost like trying to compare a 10pt crafter with a 12pt crafter. while your Base resistance will likely be identical you will notice a significant difference in the sub stats(hams/specials/condition/etc...). while FS crafting isn't quite as drastic a change as teh extra 2 exp points, it is noticable. Now if you as a normal AS are ok with wasting half a factory run of schems in order to get that perfect segment, then half of your segment run in order to get that perfect piece of armor, then you don't need to pick up FS crafting.
As a FS crafter I have several items that are 100% amazings on all experimentation points. I think the last item I did this on was some artisan foods(wafers). I borrowed a friends +25 Artisan exp suit(gave me 14exp points since I'm human and get a +15 bonus). While I didn't use sever best resources on it, I did use some that were close. I ended up getting 27%dr/21attacks/5fill/6uses.If you would like to see the difference that FS crafting makes try on your own to make the wafers and see what stats you get. You'll find you can either hit 27%dr or you can hit about 23attacks. But if you get 27% dr you are likely at 19 attacks or less without the FS crafting. I did the first 6 points in the DRand got an amazing, then did 2 more points to finish off that line and got an amazing, and then I threw the remaining 6 points into attacks and got another amazing. For those of you that don't know, 6 points with an amazing has the same effect as using 7points. That means I essentially had the experimentation equivilent on that food as if I were using 16 experimentation points. Now tell me if you think it makes a difference or not. The best I was able to get without all amazings was 27%dr/19attacks/5fill/6uses. Also keep in mind that this item used no components that I could craft for it, but your armor will. You have 3 different steps in order to craft armor and if you gain a couple extra points at each step along the way it does add up.

You want to rephrase that? *looks at the FS crafting grind*
This is one part of FS that I am NOT looking forward to.

does the bonus you get for experimentation on the FS tree stack with a 12 pt suit? in other words, 14 pt elite crafters possible?

they might stack up to 12pt, but 12pt is the most you can get i think

You get no additional points with the force crafting.
The + to FS experimentation comes into play with more succesfull experimentations.

Correct. You just dont receive free points like you would with an SEA.
