Ok i have all my armor AB Sliced now. but someone was telling me that if i wear regular gloves and not the armor gloves then the AB slice i had on the armor wont even work..is that True?

Was the someone the AS or Smuggler that sliced the suit?

Sounds like someone wanting better sales

I wear AB sliced 6500 Padded armor, I wear PreCU Comp boots with AA's in them and I wear Leather Gloves with CA's in them, I have had no problems at all with the AB slice not working. It works fine regardless of what gloves and boots you are wearing.

To my knowledge, (as a jedi mind you) it only effects the parts that are sliced. Went against a bh couple days ago, went like this:

armor break (bout 100 damage)

Body hit (400 dam)
leg hit (400 dam)
Head hit (650 dam)

later found out he had just replaced his helmet and it was not ab sliced, so by this I'm presuming each piece needs to be sliced.

Now I've also read that when wearing like cyber arms, body hit has the chance of hitting the vulnerable limb. A body hit can either hit the arms or torso (I've body hit someone before and his armor nulled my attack, however a few more body hits and eventually I got a hit that wasn't blocked by armor at all- the cyber arms) so if a bracer isn't sliced there's a chance it can be hit.

I'm 90% positive on the torso, however I am unsure if leg hit has a chance to hit the feet..

Like so many things in swg though, we havn't been given a proper explanation on how things work

Ah i see what you mean. So AB applies in effect at full power and then any hits after that are checked based on the AB resistance of the armour in that location. I think in effect the best bits to slice would be legs chest and helmet then, seeing as not my people use the body hit, its normally leghit and headhit. Might just get those bits done first and see how things go.

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but what happens if we only 75% AB sliced some of our armour, perhaps the helmet, chest and pants?

How would this affect AB working on us? would it be reduced in effectivness all the time or would it work at full effectivness if it somehow hit an part of the body that didnt have the slice?
