Hey JaatoWaals.. is there any hope 4 wookiees on eth horizon.. I feel like the last 2 wookiee armor sets (#2+3) have just been gettin put off again and again... Devs gotta stop dipsying around with making jedi's invinsible and nerfing CMs and plz help the poor wookiee brothren that still cant do squat in combat cause a kaduu rips through our armor like a knive through butter... I dont care about eth third set.. but at least give us one within teh next week.. I think 2 months+ since the first armor is more then enought time to crank out another... Is there a date 4 eth patch soon.. or will the wookiees continue to suffer

Armor certifications is a bad, bad idea as it would force everyone into the profession that has the Composite cert because of it beeing so overpowered compared to the other armors

I wouldn't count on it if for example u make it master commando and master bounty hunter only .

Now with that you have 3 new armors to craft.. Armors that are as good as composite but come with penalities.. It makes the game look more star warsy and would aid the feel of PVP. Composite can remain as non declared favorite.

An Empire Divided to me means civil war.. Why do we all look the same? I cant get in the mood when I PVP and look at all the composite.. I want factional armor.. The skins are there but you know we cant use them until 2006.

But what do I know.. I am just some idiot that does not know anything.

Just a little comment, not sure if this is known do to the lack of poularity but it appears that tantel armor is bugged when it comes to using layers in it. I made a suit of tantel armor yesterday using 12% kintetic layers with a 2% base and in final experamentation the armor stayed at 12% kinetic and ended up with 20% in all other defences. The only vulnerability was Lightsaber. Maybe this is the bug people are talking about with armor showing defences it shouldn't have but something is not right with this.

I wasn't going to say anything but it's true - I sell mabari armorweave for 50 cpu and cannot keep it stocked.

chitin resources conflict with composite so I don't touch it.

tantel, I sell helms for 10k with 15% base. (go figure, to bad dantooine avian is the easiest to get in bulk.)

used to sell kashyyykain cerimonal for 80k for 50% kinetic. hunting uses the same armorpadding so ...

Jantoo isn't that far off on the resources bit. The real kicker is low level armors which need the same resources as high level ones.

Would you care to test out a 400 year old sword to see if it's decayed to condition 0? All the prior testers have no comment. Perhaps a gun which was used in WW I and still fires with high accuracy upto 1km?

If that doesn't get you, then start reading current military specifications for combat equipment.

I for one would LOVE to see this (an AS Crafter's Apron/Toolbelt). Having MWS and MDE accounts, both having Toolbelts, and recently acquiring an MAS account from a guildie, the lack of (and need for) a Toolbeltfor AS is readily apparent... especially when one sees the prices that AS Experimentation CAs are going for of late.

I'm sure this subject has been beaten to death, so I'll get off now

my only thing lately is a bit of beef against shield generators not being able to block light sabers. Every single other starwars game with light sabers and shield generators allows for them to block light sabers. Knights of the Old Republic: Blocks light sabers. Jedi Knight 1, 2, and outcast all blocked light sabers. Why is SWG the only star wars game where shield geenrators doen't block light sabers?

The one thing I've noticed over the last 11 months I've been playing is that the game itself has not evolved in the same manner as the player base. So many masters in any given profession has made the top-level equipment accessable to just about everyone. Even a brand spankin' new player, with the proper hookups, can have master-level armor and weapons within a week. What do you expect the selling point of lower level armors to be when everywhere you look you see composite? The look? Doesn't match the resists. There are way too many differences between all the armors that really make the lower level stuff obsolete and ultimately unneccessary. If there was some kind of common ground in every type of armor available, then players individuality might actually show through in more ways than just what colors they pick for their composite. Mabari, Tantel, Chitin, Padded, there's an armorlook for everyone. I personally love the look of padded myself minus that creepy looking helmet. Other people think it's crap. Probably because it doesn't have the same 2000% resists to everything that composite does.

Well my main beef is still unserialized RIS components...

Reported this 4 months ago and was told developers were working on a hotfix and still nothing...

Obviously they have dropped the ball on this and are just hoping we will too...

Armorweave belts don't seem to have a condition on them so they show up red in your inventory, plus they offer no protection so they are basically useless. will there be a fix for this?

Noticed that the Padded armor belts have Lightsaber resistance is this true and does the belts really offer protection? or are they just more for fashion?

Thought on belts is they shouldfunction like the shields do for limited time, since they take up the place of a PSG.

Would be nice if the bandoleers could hold stuff much like a back pack, since wearing one means you can't wear a backpack, so you lose the extra 50 items that you can carry around on you.

Also one last thing but this could actually be a new class or added under artisan or even something at a new building/factory/crafting station, but here is my idea.

There should be a way to refine the raw materials you find. This way you might be able to turn a ok resource into good resource for crafting. Sure there needs to be a chance of destroying or lowering the orginal resource, but atleast this way with the way I have noticed some of the resources only come up like once in a 3 week cycle and then you might be lucky enough to have it for more than just 24 hours, just to find out it has like 200 oq is just a waste of time waiting and hoping on the next time it shows up.

  • In the last few weeks PSGs have been changed so that they no longer offer light saber resistances. I have seen no patch notes indicating this change was made.

  • As stated else where, the newIthorian armors seem to have dislexia. The composite segment version has padded armor vulnerabilities and the padded segment version looks like composite armor.

i think armour is pretty much just right at the moment. it does what its supposed to do and it does it well (i dont think the buffs should be strong enough to let us wear a full suit of adv comp AND spam specials to our hearts content, but thats another matter)

the only real problem that i have with armour, is that everywhere you look all you can see is the composite clone army - which i'll admit to being a member of, but what choice do i have?. wookies and ithorians dont count (even tho i cant remember the last time i saw a wookie without horns) but every other species is dressed exactly the same. you might ocasionaly see a bit of ubesse here and there, but aside from that its just rows and rows of clone armour, er comp armour. the first time i saw a full suit of comp i thought it looked cool. but that was over a year ago and the novelty wears off after the 2000th time.

i think it should either be changed so that each different type of armour (with the possible exception of bone armour and RIS) is relativley equal, but with different strenghts and weaknesses to increase the variety. e.g all armour have a base resist of 40-60% against all types of damage BUT comp armour has 60-80% against energy but only 30-40% against stun, padded armour has 60-80 against blast but 30-40 against heat, chitin has 60-80 against stun but only 30-40 against kinetic etc etc

either that or the armour type is irrelevant and just for aesthetic purposes, the armours resists being entirely dependant on the components usedinthe crafting process.

i relaise this would mean a substantial change to the entire armour system, so if its totally impossible, how about they introduce a couple of different styles of comp helmet, ubesse jacket, comp chestplate etc. no real change to the way it works theyres just several different appearances as there is with the scopes on rifles.
