Probably because they consider it multi forum spamming. I just answered your post in the armorsmithing forums. You left something out.

Combat types can turn in more than just weapons xp. They turn in combat xp. Although that weapons xp turns in at 30-1, combat xp is only 3-1. I can hit quenkers all day long with c12 grenades, at 3k COMBAT xp per kill. This considerably shortens a combat chars grind.

Hologrinding caused hyperinflation, much as credit dupes do. Whether or not you feel that hyperinflation is good for the game economy would frame your opinion on the net effect of hologrinding.

I agree it affects all crafters and since there is no all crafting forum.....

Factor this in. If a combat char wants to get Jedi, it's even easier than you think. Sure, it's 30 xp -1 FS xp, for weapons skill. However, with plain novice marksman/brawler etc , they can toss c12 grenades on quenker lairs. At 3k per kill worth of COMBAT xp, thats 3 combat xp -1 fs xp.

Myself, I am still handcrafting maberi like crazy. When I get completely caught up there ( as in enough suits to not sell out overnight) I will start adding a few hundred suits of padded. I handcraft everything but comp anyway, as it minimizes factory time, maximizes color selection. It just means my final combines tend to be great successes instead of amazings.

Which is exactly what I not prepared to do, I craft for the want to be the best I possibly can be, not just as an alt to make money. So just running my business will NEVER get the force sensitive XP for anything....

To get the crafting tree's I have no option by grind.... X34's look the best ATM

I "unlocked" some free trees from my ginding, in which I took Master Crafting, Experimentaion and Assembly. From what I've noticed in my crafting since getting these bonus, it is nearthe same as being in a PA city with Reasearch Center and useing food. If you want to be the best crafter you can be, save the head-ache and skip this farce of an improved "contenet" and "quest-based jedi quest" crap and go to that research facility.

It does save me that 200credit ticket to my local research center, Woo-Hoo!

Well this whole thing is just getting way to old. The bottom line is the REAL Crafters are getting Screwed. And I use the term REAL Crafter for the People whos Main is the Crafter not thier Alt Money maker. There is 3 Types of players here

1 The Jedi Wanabe- Thats all that maters to them and Crafting was simply something they had to grind out to get thier holocrons. They didnt spend any time once they got Master the just droped it and moved on. All Craftning is to them is something easy to grind out. They cant understand what it take to be a REAL Crafter. And its because of this type that they have to keep Craftning hard or they would use Grinding to get the Lines they need to get Jedi.

2 Crafter Alts- Craftning to them is only the Banker. All they have to do is stay up on the latest resources and Log in make a Few schematics and run. This gives them all the money they need to Play thier main which are #1s. Its because of them they took the extra 2 Exp points out of the FS Tree. They simply dont want to spend the time to grind out the FS tree to stay Competitive. The FS Tree dont hold enough for them for what little you get simply because they realy dont care as Long as it dont give the REAL Crafters any advantage over them.

2 REAL Crafters- I came to this game Only for the Craftning. My Main is my Crafter even though I have an Alt Fighter I could care less if I ever get jedi. I am currently one of the highest Armorsmiths on Bloodfin. I spend alot of time staying up on Resources and run 12 vendors over3 different Planets. I want anything that might give me that Craftning Edge. I own I belive the Only +25 Armor Exp Tape and +25 Armor assym tape around. My One pair of Gloves gives me everything I need. I spent unreal Money on them because I strive to be the best Crafter Around. Im not a Grinder but if they would have started there would be a FS Craftning tree i would probly have done it then just for that. I Didnt do the hologrind simply because i didnt care to be Jedi. I Spent over 80 Mil this week alone on Resources just to stay The best.

I am not a grinder and I shouldnt have to Grind my way up the FS Tree. I have to Experamint on all my armor and get nothing for it.

I should be Judged on my Quality and Effort not how fast I can ckik buttons.

Noone said you had to.

You claim to be a real crafter and all the force sensitive crafting stuff will do is reduce the time it takes you to make that perfect layer schematic. However if you really love the craft, spending that extra time should not be an issue.........

Too bad so few of our products actually benefit from the extra experimentation... Stim Dispensers, Survey Droids, and Repair kits I think is all I can actually put my extra 2 pts on and have it matter.

the diffrence between +100 and +125 is extrodinary. the difference between +125 and +125 with a research center is big as well. now imagine never ever having to use any crafting food ever again. that is a master WS with all the possible bonuses and the FS trees. it is well worth the effort.

There is no extra experimentation points gained from the FS crafting tree. FS Crafting Mastery - Experimentation just gives you an increased chance for an amazing success when experimenting.

(picked that branch up as my free branch from when I did 1 holo before becoming a DE)

I think one way to rid ourselves of the grind requirement for crafting is if the devs take into consideration weapon use. I believe that if a weapons is purchased, and used consistently by the buyer or rebuyer (in cases where they pass it along or sell it) that as WS we should receive xp credit for that. Why? Because it shows we have crafted a piece of good equipment that someone in the game values! Doing a system such as this will definetly do two things maybe more:

1. It will increase the benefits of the player economy by getting various weaponsmith's names out there. Also, it will cause price competeition and maybe we will quit seeing 30k for a dag gone power hammer ( I sell mine sliced on tarquinas for 15k BTW)

2. It will give the career crafters a reason to keep crafting. Those of us who are here and in it for the haul love our profession. I know I love making weapons. Reward us for our time and the energy we spend making good damn weapons!

And just as a side-note. A guild member of mine gave a new recruit a weapon today (DH17-snubnose) that I crafted over 6 months ago. He had recieved it from another guild member who bought it off of another member who I originally crafted it for. If that doesn't make you feel good about Weaponsmithing nothing Will!

Ail,

I don't know anyone who loves crafting the same thing over and over and over again to get it perfect. That just isn't life. People don't like repetitive, mindless things that a monkey or a 3d-party computer program could do if properly instructed.

That just isn't a good way to spend leisure time.

When someone says they love to craft, they are talking about actually making things, not just clicking the same buttons over and over again until everything is totally perfect.

What market is it that you are getting into these days that is netting you so much FS experience? I'd like to know. I know some folks who want padded. Is that what you are talking about?
