Thread: What is the diff in resources between BH armor and comp armor(besides schems)?
This thread has long since outlived it's usefullness.

Don't forget the /tell armorsmith 'hey are you able to craft my BH armor yet?' Well, I didnt know I was under contract but sure. When? Usually reply with "Ill be there in a sec if you can do it now" They fail to mention they are 7000m from the dathomir outpost and their "sec" is usually 20 minutes. (time Im standing around doing nothing waiting for them)
Next comes -
me - ok these are the stats that it will be kkkk/eeee/hcae
customer - oh no thats not what I want. I want it kkkk/8000/hcae, and unique colors
me - ok, there are 2 colors to choose for it
customer - 2?!?!? How do I see people with all the different colors on theirs then?
me - no, a base color and a trim color
customer - oh, (wait for it....
)what colors are available?
me - well, the first color is from the Ubese palette, the 2nd is from the composite palette. If you remember when Ubese and Comp were the only ones worn, try to remember what the colors were.
customer - what's Ubese? (this from players who've been around almost as long as I have)
customer - is black available?
me - thinking /sigh ok - /say yeah the darker black is in the trim color, the best I can do for the base is a very dark grey
customer - oh and try for 4 sockets on each piece. (totally random result)
And usually after its made, I am then told they have a single +5 voritor scale and customer wants to know if I can use that to make his armor have the +350 health bonus that my RIS armor behind me has (/whine C'mon for me? Im your best and most loyal customer even though we just met and i got your name from a friend)
Of course, nothing but the absolute best and most expensive (for us) resources can be used in crafting BH armor
Situations like the above usually take about 45 minutes to an hour - if I only have 2 hours to play per night if I'm lucky, this is NOT how I want to spend them. THAT is why we charge more for BH armor
Not trying to flame you or anything, Irespect you trying to research what you are looking for, but understand that wedon't like being shackled to our crafting stations.
I agree with whomever it was that posted about going on your servers trade forums and asking there for a smith to craft it. it would probably be faster than going in-game and waiting for each smith to come on to petition them. Besides, the ones looking on the trade forums are the ones looking for business

Why do I charge that much? Because people that aren't you are willing to pay that much. YOU don't get to set the price standard. Everyone else paying my prices does. I don't think I've ever cried myself to sleep over one lost potential customer, because if you're a good armorsmith, your repeat customers more than make up for it.
If 10 people want to pay X price, and you only want to pay 80% of X, guess what my price is going to be?
Good point, and one with whichI dont disagree in the least. Its any ASs(or any crafter's) right to charge just as much as they like for anything they like and good for them if they make a killing. Just because I say I'm goint so shop around and try to find an AS who I think doesnt charge unfairly in my opinion doesnt mean I'm going to argue with somene I think does, or disagree with the above thought.
