I just double checked this and the Horn requirement is indeed in there for the Hunting Armor chest piece. It is notably absent in the other three pieces, however, possibly indicating that it was left in there by accident. I'm going to be doingmy best to see that it's removed as a resource requirement, however.

To be blunt....
ARE THEY NUCKING FUTZ?!?!?!?!?!
With those hide and bone requirements, you'll never see more than display versions of those armors in my shop, I'm sorry.
With the insane prices for hides already, it's not worth my credits to gather all this stuff.
And Horn ONLY DROPS AS NPC LOOT AND FROM CHESTS. Sorry wookies, but the idiots who gave us the demoltionist belt have struck again.... and put in something that isn't really in game anymore.
Do any of the developers know what skills/items are avaliable in game anymore??!?!
I'm sorry, the one sure way to get me annoyed is to be stupid. And this, my fellow AS's, is stupid.

I highly doubt this was an accident since the helmet is probably part of the chest piece like the wicker armor. Since the graphics always show that armor with big ugly horns on top, it would make sense that only that part would require the horn.
Maybe they plan on doing something like they did for milkable creatures a few publishes back. Either that or they REALLY want us to camp magseal containers for a month trying to gather enough horn before it shifts.

AN INSIGHT TO THE WOOKIEE ARMOR DISCUSSION:
"While we're at this wookiee-armor thing, let's add some content for wookiees"
"I know it let's make it so the armor requires some ridicolous resources, so the only way they can get it is by going out and getting all the resources themselves"
"Yeah, sounds good, and we should put some big nasty horns on the armor to make it look cool"
"Do we even have horns in the game anymore?"
"Who cares, it looks awesome"

Wood has always been a total joke. It's stats appear to be gated, and typically never have more than 2 stats over 700. If it does manage to have 2 stats in the 800's or 900's then the rest of the stats are 500 or lower. I waited for 3 months for a decent spawn of the endorian decedious wood with an OQ of 800, SR of 754 and the rest of the stats were in the 500's. If any other resource type had these quality stats I wouldn't even bother to harvest it, but this was THE best wood that's spawned on the server since the cerimonial armor came out. And it still is.
Someones in need of a good bo-bo kicking is all I have to say.

heres my problem...
in the recent stratics chat the devs said that one will be like comp and the other like ubese, so by looking at them you would think the obvious one that is like ubese is the hunting armor and the one like comp is the black mountain armor right? well if thats true then why does the black mountain only have 2 layers and the hunting have 3? i mean i know looks can be decieving but doesnt it make sense that the black mountain armor should have the 3 layers and the hunting should have 2.
or even worse, i am right and the black mountain armor is like comp and hunting is like ubese:*( then we wont be able to have those 69% base 35% stun comp everyone seems to be running around with and maybe not even 80% comp
the truth is that its not going to be fun for the 2 armors to be lop-sided if the hunting is like ubese and the BM is like comp then we might see identical stats on both since the lower level one can have 3 layers and the higher end one can only have 2 then both might turn out something like 60% base and 75% kinetic if you fully layered both with kinetic but not using as much exp towards kinetic on the hunting as the BM and instead using points towards the base on the hunting
anyways my point is that if BM is supposed to be modeled after comp (which i strongly feel it should since it looks a lot mroe space-age than hunting armor) and hunting is supposed to be like ubese then the way the layers work on them should be switched giving the BM armor 3 layers and instead giving the ubese one only 2

and why the hell does BM armor require wood? if you look at it, there isnt one bit of wood on it at all, wood always will suck period and since they are making us use evergreen wood one of them is rediculous since it never has high SR since it is a soft wood!

They simply need to remove the horn requirement or fix it like they did with milk where it was much easier to obtain. If not, this will be just a display suit that nobody will pay for or use because of the incredible amount of work to make one... and 40 horn??? common, Ive only been able to get one horn in all my swg life (since day 1)
devs please if you read thisI urge you not to do another dissaster here by giving us content then putting it our of reach for everyone but the power gamers.

Here I made a few changes to the list of resouces that would make this way more do able than what it is currently!!! Yes I am frustrated with the orginal list of resouces...
Kashyyykian Hunting Armor Segment
15 units of Steel
10 units of Leathery Hide
5 units of Hard Wood
up to 3 armor layers
up to 1 armor enhancement
Advanced Kashyyykaian Hunting Armor Segment
-25 units of Duralloy Steel
-16 units of Lokian Leathery Hides
-8 units ofEndorian Decidius Hard Wood
-up to 3 layers
-up to one armor enhancement
Kashyyykian Hunting Chest Plate (one of 4 pieces)
100 units of Duralloy Steel
100 units of Lokian Leathery Hide
80 units ofWooly Hide
50 units of Mythra Copper
40 units of polymer
40 units of Nabooian Fibroplast
6 identical armor padding
4 identical Kashyyykian Hunting Armor Segments
1 synth cloth
Kashyyykian Black Mountain Armor Segment
15 units of Iron
10 units of Leathery Hides
5 units of soft wood
up to 2 armor layers
up to 1 segment enhancement
Advanced Kashyyykian Black Mountain Armor Segment
25 units of Doonium Iron
16 units of Leathery Hide
8 units of endorian conifer wood
up to 2 armor layers
up to 1 armor enhancement
Kashyyykian Black Mountain Chest Plate
80 units of Doonium Iron
80 units of Leathery Hide
40 units of Wooly Hide
40 units of copper
50 units of polymer
20 units of fibroplast
4 identical armor padding
4 identical kashyyykian black mountain armor segments
1 synth cloth
You will notice I left in some of the woods and changed a few to something a bit better from the wood family... and I left in a lot of the orginal resouces...
I feel that list of resouces would be a better than what the devs created... Oh I know its wishful thinking that they will change their minds... but at least theres a reasonable amount of organics vs. inorganics in the lists...
and the armors are still hide intensive... Also IMO the Hunting armor Art work should be the Ubese style of armor and the Black Mountan art work should be the Composite style of armor...
I guessI am just having problems with this because wookiee armor is most of my income as an armorsmiths, because I know I cant compeate with the older smiths on the composite and ubese... so I am just a little disheartend by the orginal resouce listing...

JaatoWaals, I'm a longtime Scout/Ranger and posting as someone who regularly supplies armorsmiths with creature resources.
It's possible that all of these planet-specific requirements were intended as a boon to us. If so, the devs should be disabused of the idea. We hunters already have more demand than we can keep up with, and the mostly non-functional (not broken, just useless) Ranger tree doesn't help us find animals that increasingly don't exist.
Which gets to the second problem. Someone already mentioned that Corellian wool is scarce. Even if horn becomes harvestable, hardly any animals spawn on Dantooine anymore. The planet's lone server is overwhelmed by all the player cities. Even mission terminals only offer a small selection of species.
You already know the problem with horn. Other professions' schematics called for eggs, milk, and seafood long before any of these were available except as random one-unit loots.
Please bring these considerations to the devs as well.
Thanks,
Kenner Bzap
