Like i said in the other post if wookie want to be the only ones that can make wookie armor then they should be abel to make composite armor.

to the person wanting wookie armor to be better than the other armor..

You must have forgotten why wookies didnt start with armor... They have bonus stat points for their statistics. In the early game this was seen as fair by most. But now since everyone can find doctors buffs, +600 stat points is irrelevent, and good armor will have 80% protection vs everything but stun, means that armor is alot more useful now than when I bought my first set of 10% kinetic Chittin armor. So in my opinion the armor should not be capable as achieving the same effectiveness as composite armor. If so, give my trandoshen my damned boots and gloves.

What do I expect? A game that I paid $50 for and $15 a month to work.

Trando's have bonus regeneration as well as some minor stat boost to creature attack or something right? Maybe not enough to ofset the loss of boots and gloves, but close. I haven't played em, so I can't say how much the bonuses help.

As for the resists on wookie armor....I woudl say 50% preslice (that means like 65% with 30% slice)woudl be the max base I would give....somewhere from 30-50% seems fair to me. I dunno though, I am not a wookie, so I couldn't say how much this woudl help. But a 50% resist lowers damage taken from most damage (as most damage in the game is AP0) by 75%. That seems pretty good to me.

Brutus, you are unfairly taking the brunt of peoples attacks. It isn't your fault, adn I appologize if I offended you. I think most armorsmiths are so excited to have a new armor, they wouldn't want another publish to pass without us getting ANYTHING new to play with. AndUS is a big community, while wookieAS is so much smaller. Additionally thereare some wookie armorsmiths who are seeing thischance as a way to get uber rich, I doubt you would deny that some want it to be wookie only for that reason.

I would love to see some race specific craftable stuff enter into the game. Sure, some clothes and armor are race specific for wearing, but not for crafting. It would make it kinda fun. .....but frankly, to give the only non-loot content we have gotten since Launch to only one race wouldn't be the way to do it. What about a special rhodian pistol, what about a special food for some of the other races than wookie and Trando. What about a special craftable Twi'lek only headwrap that gives statmods to entertaining, or a special instrument for Twi'leks? That would be cool.

Nah bro you didn't offend me, It would be nice for us to get something new as AS's also. and you are right i am sure there are some that would see this as big dollar signs. regardless if this goes as schem or wookiee schem there is going to be $$$ and i would bet money it's going to be bigger then when vehicles came out

I guess the reason I can't afford to buy +20 in tapes is b/c I don't have the same mind set as most other AS's. My state ment wasn't about greed, it wasn't about anything except keeping the wookiee unique. What the hell I am sure you guys make enough money off composite and other forms of armor. I am a MAS and I run 18 fusions. Lately I have rarely had more then 500k in my bank. And I would say I move a fair amount of armor. Well maybe I don't have my armor priced high enough, but I am making profit on it so that is what matters. But the point being is dammit you guys are turning this into a money issue and its not what I was trying to do. If i wanted to make a large profit with little cost I could focus on being a PSG smith only and sell those all day long for 10k a pop. (as they do sell out pretty damn fast) But crafting only PSG's would get pretty boring. I like filling special requests, someone coming up to me I'm tired of freakin rifleman, You have anything to fix that for me. It's not about the money with me its about the actual armor. I guess you can call me crazy, but since i have all my lots tied up with fusions I only run 4 factories. Heck if i placed 9 more it still probably wouldn't be enough. but any way the point being is 90% of all armor that I sell was hand crafted. So for all you wankers out there saying My statement was about the money I got a nice piece of pointy and rusty composite you can stick up your A$$. Peace

Selling hand-crafted armor is a choice that you have made and has no bearing on the conversation at hand. Selling your armor at a low cost is a another choice you made that has no bearing on this conversation. *YOU* made the decision to run fusions, as opposed to factories. *YOU* made the decision to hand-craft your stuff. As you said, you can barely keep up with demand as it is. How in the hell are you gonna keep up with demand of 100+ Wookies coming to you because you happen to be one of the "rare" Wookie armorsmiths. I'll tell you something... YOU CAN'T!! You'll have to raise your prices to offset the demand. When you do so, people will probably not be able to afford it or will have to wait days on end. Think from a customer's perspective, not from a "I wanna keep Wookiees unique" perspective. Consumers drive ALL economies. If consumers can get it elsewhere, faster and cheaper, they will. Taking away from your profits. Again, stop being greedy, think of your fellow Wookiee brethren and their situation, and don't use the lame excuse of "Wookiee uniqueness".

I'm trying to find out the answer to this question, but to be honest I'm not sure whether it's even been decided yet.

And there's something that's really been bugging me these last few days. I'veseen numerous people make this mistake. The word that you want to use when referring to something that no longer matters is "moot", not "mute". A point cannot in and of itself be "mute".Rather, apoint that's no longer relevant is a "moot" point. I wasn't going to say anything the first time I saw someone do this, but I've seen it done so many more times since then that Ifelt the need to stop this thought virus before it went any further.

I thought the same thing, although I saw it done several times in this thread, so I wasn't sure that I was correct. But the way I'd always heard it was "moot".

Hello Shlomoshun, and fellow As. As soon as I found out that Wookiee Armor was on test center, I was all for it. Im Omploompa, Shlo's neighbor Wookie AS. I originally believed that the WA should be Wookiee craftable only. No thought went into customer base or pricing or how few Wookiee AS there would be, ( How many play Wookiees anyways since so many complain about not being able to wear composite?)

I play a Wookiee for the difference. I could be a human with composite and a flamethrower but I dont want to. My choice. Therefore I accept the limitations and bonuses of being a Wookiee. Staying warm all the time is one lol.

After reading the previous posts, Ive changed my mind. My belief in Wook craftable only Armor was based on keeping Wookiees unique as with any other race. I only want more race craftable items for all. I think it would encourage more players to choose non-human races not only just for looks, but for what they bring from their culture to SWG.

I will agree that all AS should be able to craft Wookiee Armor. Perhaps there will be Mon Cal Padded armor, or Rodian Scale armor. Im just tired of seeing everyone looking the same in whatever armor they wear. Should a Mon Cal look the same a s a Rodian or Human in Composite?

Im just tired of wearing a hood and cloak and hides that look like armor but are not. Why not allow the few pieces we can craft now to have some degree of armor protection? my fiddy cent

Umm just a thougt, What will a Wookiee smell like after wearing a full suit of armor on Tatooine for awhile?

Just as long as the wookiee armour isnt like padded (needing hides for the segments, and masses of hides for construction) as that just makes it completely unrealistic to make, and would frustrate wookiees even more than what they currently are when they cant get even low level suits of armour for under 500k.

As a wookie, I say hell no with only us crafting it! I have never seen a wookie armorsmith on shadowfire, and don't thinkI ever will. That would crush my hope of ever getting armor right there.

EDIT: Oops using my human account.
