so then how do i get armor with sockets? i don't do armor much, so it shouldn't be too surprising that i've never seen armor with sockets. my misinformation was an unverified armorsmith explanation, so now i have to rethink all those armor attachments i destroyed...

ignore this if you don't have an easy answer. i'll check the armorsmith boards later.

errm...

a little history for you guys....

xkon is THE most hated person on Shadowfire. This personis a known thief and scammer who has stolen probably everything he owns from other people due to crappy game trade screen mechanics. He's been reported over andover and over againand SOE has done absolutely nothing to put an end to it.

Simply do a search of his name and you will see why.He should not be playing this game. He should have been banned a long long time ago.

I dont believe it. I would not believe it even if I saw it. I don't believe it was looted from a krayt dragon.

I dont think he is a fencer either. If he is, it is truly a sad day for fencers everywhere.

Just drag it and drop it in a socketed piece of armor one attachment per socket...

you dont put the attachment in when you make the armor, you click and drag it onto a piece of armor that has already been made.

hope that helps

Sorry, but I'm still confused. I've made tons of armor. Never had the option to put in sockets. None of them have just turned up with sockets.

Is there no way to intentionally socket armor?

Can only non-player crafted armor be found with sockets?

Sockets are random spawning usally youll know if its socket if it shows up yellow, if you examine it, itll tell you how many sockets it has, works the same way with clothes and tapes.

I believe you also have to go up the techniques tree of armorsmith to have armor come out with sockets, tech 1= chance of 1 socket, tech2=chance of up to 2 sockets, tech3=chance of up to 3sockets, and tech4=chance of up to 4sockets

I've been told that mods for the Commando profession do not work. Is this true? I'm selling an armor attachment that has +14 Heavy Weapon Speed and +8 Poison Resistance all on one armor attachment. Any information would be appreciated, I'm also taking offers for the attachment if you're interested. I've been offered one million credits already.

Back in Beta all of the Commando Heavy Weapons were grouped under the generic skill mods of "Heavy Weapon Speed" and "Heavy Weapon Accuracy"...at the end of Beta the Commando skill mods were divided out into "Rocket Launcher Accuracy", "Flame Thrower Speed", "Heavy Particle Cannon Speed", "Heavy Acid Rifle Accuracy" and so on...The devs divided out our skill mods but never updated the lootable skill mods which of course still drop today...

To make a long story shorter...unfortunately due to all this, Heavy Weapon lootable skill mods don't work...they don't effect any skill we have (even though some rumors say they blanket our skills, dev confirmation says they don't)...

But this doesn't mean your skill mod is worthless...one of our goals is to get back to having our Heavy Weapon Skill back to Beta (having just "Heavy Weapon Speed" and "Heavy Weapon Accuracy")...if that eventually goes through, this skill mod will work again...Personally I've got quite a huge stash of Heavy Weapon Speed & Accuracy mods that I'm holding on to in hopes they someday fix this issue...

Hehe.. welcome to Star Wars Galaxies. First rule: half of the attachments in the game have broken mods on them. Polearm Damage being one of them
