*pout*
Personally I believe tumble should be higher on the list that breakdance.
Gymnastics and contortions are much harder to perform.
Only my opinion, but still.

Even though I think the notes always said Tumble was going to be in DK1 and 2 and Breakdance was going to be in DK3 and 4, this is not how they first hit TC. They even showed up in the UI skill tree with Breakdance in DK1 and 2 and Tumble in 3 and 4.
Opinion: It was better with the more casual dance in the lower boxes 1 and 2 with Popular and Poplock because it allows people to dabble for all the "party dances" early on. Tumble is going to be used less often by casual Dancers because it's a very high travel special use dance. It makes more sense in the higher boxes (3 and 4) where we first saw it on TC.
Fact: The XP gain payout for the new dances have retained their original value before they were switched. This means that at both DK1 and 2 Dancers can now gain access to XP payouts that are not intended until DK 3 and 4.
Related existing issue: The Theater Reward dance "Theatrical" should have an XP gain equal to a DK4 dance because you have to have a level 4 box trained with Dancing XP to even be able to learn the dance. The way you learn the second level of this dance makes this XP gain adjustment needed even more.
Suggestion: Dancers have long asked for all XP gain to be based on the +Dance Knowledge bonus and not on the actual dance being performed. This is much more in line with Musicians who are able to gain max XP by either song or instrument selection. It is also much more performance friendly to allow Dancers to progress at their target rate no matter what dance they are performing so a group of Dancers with mixed skill levels will be freed to all perform the same base dance (and look much better).

On that dance does it stay with you even if you drop all the way to back novice entertainer? (I have never checked only read someplace here it and western does)
If that is the case it should adjust to the entertainers skill level, being the dance has no true skill box.

Well, that's actually one of the reasons why they need to go ahead and make XP gain based on +Dance Knowledge. Supposedly we'll be getting other dances this way at some point and any quest based dance is going to be a floater. We've been asking for this change in XP gain even before the quest was ever implemented though, there are many reasons for the change. The only Dev response that was ever given on this issue was "yes, we can do that when we have time and your turn rolls around again" basically.
So, I'm just hoping maybe that time's now.
There are a lot of changes our Devs have said we could have in the past when they have a chance to get to them. I guess I need to make a list of the ones I know about and Raven and Deila should add what they remember too. Now that retired corrs aren't in the c-forums anymore, I really think this stuff is just going to have to be tracked out here in the community like a group project, lol.

Ok, I've been doing a little playing around with Tumble2, and I noticed something. The reason this dance drifts so much is because it's losing its place in the base dance. It's easiest to see in a traveling dance like Lyrical. When you trigger a flourish, it interrupts the base dance to do the flourish, and then when the flourish animation ends, it goes back to about where the flourish was interrupted (either to the same spot or somewhere shortly after it, it seems). When you do a flourish with Tumble2, it doesn't go back to where it left off in the base dance when the flourish animation is done. What it actually seems to do is to back up about 1/6 of the base dance from where it interrupted (that 1/6 is my own guess of about the amount of the base dance loop that it seems to be backing up). So if you time the flourish to start at exactly the start of the base dance loop, when the flourish is done it will suddenly jump to about 5/6 of the way through the base loop, finish the base loop, and then start again from the beginning of the loop. Practically this means that your new center is a good run diagonally forward from where it used to be. Keep this up and you could dance your way right out of the cantina, and half way across town!
Basically this means that there is no way to use this dance casually without massive drifting in a very short time. Now if you watch it carefully you can interrupt the resumption of the base dance with another flourish and minimize the drifting that way. You can also monitor your position and rotate yourself periodically to try to keep dancing in the same general space, but I think you'll have to watch it fairly closely.
Maybe we could have the devs take a look into this dance and adjust the timing of where it picks up the base dance again after a flourish. It isn't working like Lyrical2 is (that's the only one I've compared it against so far - maybe others might want to do their own comparisons with other dances and see if they come to about the same conclusion).
Tumble does not have this problem because its base dance is very short and doesn't move much at all. It will barely drift.
