It is bugged crazy, most of the stuff from the first page goes to the second when you change pages. It is a pain. I would have thought they would have fixed that when they did this upgrade, that has been bugged for ever! Overall it is good setup, dealing with armor though it is alittle time consuming considering all of the full suits are in packs and have to be searched under that cat. and of course there are alot of packs with everything from 9999999999 storage items to everyother serial #ed loot. I like it......But i also dislike it. prob more than i like it.

I'm really disappointed on the Galactic Vendor Search for a number of reasons.
First reason is distance. By default the range selector is on "region" so all those people who have thrown up merchant tents and such immediately around the Mining Outpost on Dantooine get listed while my vendors which are only 2km away are only in the Planet and higher selections.
Second, listings are bugged. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to what order things are listed in (which is kind of a good thing). However, clicking next means you might be looking at the same stuff for five minutes. I was looking at the Fiberplast on Eclipse and the first 16 pages all had a listing for a guy on Naboo selling 907 units of a grind resource. I didn't go check it out, but I'm guessing the guy didn't purposely make sixteen 907 unit lots.
Third, prices are definately gonna equalize. If I use the best resources I can find and make a suit that costs 5K more than the next guy, and the only difference is 10 points in HAM, buyers will go to the cheaper suit. As long as there's a bunch of 80s in the suit, people aren't gonna care.
And I would like to agree with some others. I've been on the galactic search for well over 12 hours and haven't gotten a single sale. The last time I went a full day without a sale was February 24th.

I actually sold 1/10 the ammount of armor I had sold the previous day. I guess the ones this hurts are the smiths who charge a bit more, but are always stocked. You lose out on that advantage as people don't have to worry about a shop always being stocked as they can find a new one with what they need. Well maybe i'll stop stressing about always having all 6 types of armor I carry stocked.
On the other hand the interface is a little annoying, and after the novelty has worn off it's use will diminish except where neccesary.

Yesterday, my entire mini-mall (6 venders) sold a grand total of zero items
I'm not worried. I checked my prices as compared to others of the same quality and found that my prices were good. I did lower the price on most of my composite armor, to help clear out some stock. There were a few items of equal quality going for cheaper, but they will be gone very soon and my shop is always stocked. Overall I don't think this is going to have a negative affect on any crafters. It may level out the pricing across the server some.
The reasons why I am not worried?
My prices are competetive, if not better than other armor of the same or lower quality.
I have some loyal customers, who I do not believe will sort through the enormous list of disorganized crap to save a couple credits when they know they can come to my shop and get great quality at a great price.
I religously stock my venders and sell the highest quality products I can make.
IMO the only way you are going to lose a significant ammount of regular bussiness if you run out of stock. Then your customers may go looking for another supplier to fill their immediate need. If they find higher quality or lower prices you may lose them for good. Or at least until your competition runs out of stock.
The first day was a yard sale. Find stuff underpriced and buy, buy, buy, which I happily took part in
It was also people looking for specific items. This will continue for a few days then everything will settle down and it will be bussiness as ussual, except for the price gougers. They will have to come in line, or go out of bussiness.
Just my 2 cents

Found a guy selling ship chassis for .5cpu , bought every single chassis he had (he had ALL the ships up to master level). I can't even get my resources for that little.
Funny thing is, I am making more money than him.

I think that it is both good and bad.
Bad: For us armorsmiths who sell full suits in backpacks it's just about impossible to get any sales from the Galactic Vendor. Pricing is irrelevant as long as you aren't gouging the customers. My armor is on the high end of the spectrum but my customers know that it is among the best on the server. The ones who don't understand what premium armor is will be the ones going to the Galactic Vendor lists.
Good: Resources. That's all there is to say about that. It is no longer a problem to find any resources you need to any job. Not to mention good deals. I found the best spawns of Kiirium Steel, Crism Silicastic and Amorph Gemstones for both armorsmith and weaponsmith for 1-2cpu yesterday. It was crazy. I'd say that resource vendors probably got the single greatest boost from this since all of their products are singles. Weaponsmiths probably got helped as well. Chefs and Armorsmith got shanked since everything is in crates or backpacks.

I would think, based on my experience, Tailors saw a HUGE boom in sales. I sold nearly 50 pieces of clothing yesterday alone up from 5 - 10 a day.

I have been selling mostly presliced, so I did nice the first few days
you could sort peices by prices, and mine were among the highest (the 90% base peices). Also sold some RIS that people might not have otherwise found
so, for the specialty smiths selling presliced and RIS, I think it is a good thing (plus I sell on lok, so it will help business)

My sales of full suits.....=0
My sales of my 80%-90%base comp. almost sold out.....The prices do make a diffrence people look for the best stuff and they know it is priced high, So they sort prices. They see the laughable prices and the prices that are priced high because of the product. I think i might have to stop making my full suits and just slice. UNTILL THE CD(Combat downgrade) when sliceing will be ruined.
But i still hope that when i get my new run of hunting armor stocked and i send mail to all the previous customers that they will come back.... hopefully this has not ruined my return customers.

I think it's pretty lame. For well over a year, I've tended to my shop. I certainly wasn't just handed my super location, that took some dedication. That's now all worthless as any hack operating out if his garage gets just as much exposure as I do. Before you go and feel sorry for this guy out in the sticks, I've always let anyone place a vendor in my shop, free of charge and that includes competing armorsmiths. The bad location guy's only disadvantage was one that he imposed upon himself.
As it is, some sales for me have already gone up. That's good for profits but it's certainly not got the same feeling of achievement to it. Oh, look at me, I was lucky enough to be listed before page 20. That takes a lot of skill, I should be proud. Oh well, at least resource prices will come down and make things easier for me... oh, wrong again. My reward for being a dedicated smith and collecting about a years supply of resources so I can always have a well stocked vendor is that I won't benefit from their newly decreased prices.
This patch, along with a few other things (30K resource kits, increased uber resource spawns, etc...), makes me feel like my efforts are being displaced by a increasingly shallow system. I want to find something to be positive about since SWG is one of the best out there but it's pretty hard at the moment.
