sorry but wookies are still gonna have crappy mind stats

Not neccessarily more so than others. Human and zabs are definately on top of the mind stat food chain, but I've seen plenty of other classes get by just fine... all the buffs and foods do wonders. Wookies are not particuarrly more gimped than everyone else in this respect, due to the increases in theyr'e ham, they are even a wee bity more flexible to some degree.

is this armor buffed or is it my imagination?

Im making 80% kinetic 66% base and 80% KInetic 80% Energy 63% base and my segments resources stats look like someones batting average.Wood 300/500. Had some ok bone 900/300. Leather was decent.Maybe 800/850. Nothing like my Comp segment resources.

But making comp Id be gimped with a segment resource of 300/500.

What will I make when I get 900/900.

Wow!

I only have crap organics jut the stuff that is in shift now, only the Tatooine Wooly Hideis top and from Composite stock theminerals and chemicals are also pretty good.

Experimental Quality cap at 59% and 75% for the final combine.

I hit 38% stun, 80% kinetic and 59% base using 3 stun layers (more than 38% stun is not possible on Chimaera).

The enc for the 4 pieces is 562-496-352. I think this is as good as Composite can get. We will see 38% stun, 80% Kinetic and eff-sliced 90% armor with half the encumbrance of Composite once organics are just in the 700,800.

What kind of organics do you armorsmith's need to make this stuff and which stats are most important? Particularly of the fauna variety (hide/bone/meat), as I do a lot of hunting (when I get to play) and would happily harvest the need supplies to help meet the (surely) coming demand.

It seems abit unfair to me that wookies get armour that out classes comp, and has lower encomberance, especially when they already have more stat points. Now I know what your gonna say about that statpoints are nothing, and blah blah blah, but if you load them into your secondaires you could quite easily wear this armour without buffs. Also I know some people are gonna say, "we had to go a year without armour", to which my reply is, so what? Does that mean you should suddenly have the best armour availible in the game? I dont think so, to be this is another failed attempt by the devs to balance the game, and pushing it to far.

we *CANT* load our extra stats into the secondaries where we need them. All of our secondaries are capped rather low...with the exception of STR, which has a minimum of 600, which is worthless with buffs. Our extra ham bonuses mean NOTHING in the current game environment.

I have a set of hunting armor, crafted by a 12 pt armorsmith, and it is NOT wearable unbuffed, even with all my secondaries (except for str) at their maximum values.

So much for that arguement

The dev team would never allow any kind of imbalance so that one group of people would "cut swaths" through crowds of people.

I'll echo that last post: the Wookiee secondary stat caps make it very difficult to wear the Hunting armor unbuffed.

In addition as pointed out earlier, having the armor account for multiple slots that are normally separate pieces in Comp is both a plus and a minus: it's lighter on the mind HAM encumbrance (which is actually well-matched given the Wookiees' secondary mind caps), yet the lifetime of the Wookiee's armor is thereby considerably limited compared to Comp since the condition is not spread amongst as many individual pieces.

All in all, I think the Hunting armor is a very good yet distinctive equivalent to Comp armor, which meets the unique needs of the Wookiee class really well.

I'd also like to point out for your consideration that ANY new feature added by the Devs is ALWAYS going to have some subset of the community in a tizzy about it.

- If the new Hunting was notably worse than the existing Comp, the Wookiee population will whine about still not being as good as the rest.

- If the new Hunting was notably better than the existing Comp, the non-Wookiee population will whine about Wookiees now being unfairly powerful.

- If the new Hunting was absolutely identical to existing Comp, then Armorsmiths would throw a fit about not having something really new to craft on.

Think about it.

dont know what crack you have been smoking but this armor is not even close to comp. It will never ever e able to get the 90%kinetic whcih is the most important stat for pve. My comp set the alt uses is 90base/80elec/26base with 88base/40stun helm. Wook armor will never see these numbers. by the time there are the resources for it all armor wil be nerfed.
