The other misconception is hinderances aren't built into the armor.
Hinderances are a function of the protectiongiven bythe armor. For example 6k-6k-6k battle armor is 40% 40% 40% on hinderances, while 1k-1k-1k battle armor has much lower base hinderances.
So anyone know what the hinderances on 6500 armor are? and does anyone think a 5% speed reduction is worth it? Does it really work out to 5m lost for every 100m traveled? or are hinderances completely broken ? (I don't see a change in the rate of attackwhen I have a 40% attack speed reduction from armor when I examine my weapon - but does it actually do anything??)
(For example a melee toon in 6500 armor will never be able to keep up with a ranged character in 7500/5500 assault armor?)
Hinderances are capped on crafted, non-sliced armor. For battle armor, the cap is 40/40/40. For recon it's 60/40/20 and for assault it's 20/40/60.Doesn't matter if the armor is layered or not. All advanced armor will come out with those hinderances, regardless of the level of protection. So, layered battle armor will have the exact same hinderance as non-layered.
The only way to add hinderance is through slicing (and I'm not even sure if that happens anymore, b/c I haven't had any armor sliced with the new system).
