there's to add that with the final assembly Power Conditioners as a sub component get added and they can be experimented on.
so just to be save with the final result i'd try to get power conditioners that are rated +4 instead of the default -2

OK my results from last night....
16% Energy
34% Stun/Lightsabre etc...
then to my surprise... I was told by my guild to get them sliced..
I didn't even know yo could.. so I now have various PSG's going from 34% Stun/LS (Encumberence slice
) up to 43%

These were MK III's not IMPS....
trust me.. I'm ot wasting my IMP Schems on testing
anyone else willing to post stats (also resource stats would be useful!)

One of the key things as I see it. Armour/shields wear down more when damage gets past them. The mk1's I am selling are 20% against energy and 5% against everything else. This means that if you wear said shield during a melee fight it will protect you against a tiny amount of damage but the shield willl suffer HUGE amounts of damage. Dont wear your shield against foes that can by pass it!!

I like the idea of PSG's being the only LS resistant armor, what with it basically being an energy field vs an energy field, but the EU source material has plenty of instances where materials were resistant to LS's. Vaders shoulder piece deflected Lukes, plus the Cortosis Ore, and most recently armored shields that disipate heat made from starship armor.
I think it all depends on how "uber" the Designers want Jedi w/ LS's to be

Well I know PSG's used to be bugged so no one made them. Then all of a sudden I see a surge in vendors with PSGs, so I think they are working. I pick up some various ones, and lo and behold they work. Then before pub 10 comes out they dont work anymore.
Am I doing something wrong, ie I still need some sort of combination of armour and shield to work, or is it just Imperial PSG's that dont work, or are they spotty at best.
Anyone with some data that can share it would make me a happy camper.
thx

I did some heavy testing on this prior to pub 10 (and since there was nothing in the patch notes Im assuming it really hasnt changed all that much...).... so When the AS crafts the psg in a factory run all the "original" crates come with lightsaber protection, it might not show it, but once you pull out a psg it does... You can use the psg, cross server boundary lines, whatever you want, however the moment you log poof, LS resist gone on the psg... meaning you need to pull out a new one. If you split the original crate, or try to divide the psg's in anyway it triggers the LS resist, and the moment your character disapears from the world, so does the LS resist...
hope that helps

The bug where you need to unequip and requip the PSG is still there, that one has been here since beta. PSGs work, they just are irritating.

There is a long standing (been there since beta) bug where when one crosses server boundaries, the system forgets that the PSG is equipped, and when this happens the PSG will act like its not there at all. This bug has repeatedly been reported to the DEVs, but they haven't fixed it. The only way to make sure PSGs work is to unequip and reequip them before each fight. This is really irritating, but nothing will be done about it as the DEVs consider armorsmith "low proriety."

well thanx for all that. I'll try the equip re-equip. Grinding faction is really tough in just Ubese. Why can't they just fix the frickin' things!

What bug with PSG's. I'm about to get the Imp schematic so it would be helpful to know.
Any light you could shed would be helpful.
