Mine never seems to work either. But I do know that they are bugged to hell so I just wear it for no reason.

My sig is of little use now due to the fact that I have quit.

Well thats plain wrong. I wear a full suit of composite and my PSG works like a charm... Absorbs damage first, then the composte absorbs from the damage that passes the shield again.

As already stated PSGs are bugged. If they are equipped when you cross a server border (usually shuttle flight, but also happens when you walk/drive), they stop working, until you unequip them, and equip them again.

Damn, what a waste then. Are they planning to work it so you can wear armor and a PSG, or is this how they want it?

I don't think this is true.

On the corvette, I have worn a PSG and have noticed that it starts to degrede as I am hit (no, I'm not talking about the degrading caused by dying on the vette).

I assume this means it is absorbing the blows.

Incorrect,

The best way to overcome the server boundary equip issue is to put it on a hotkey and just unequip / equip it just prior to batlle.

Works like a charm for me

This is what I've done. It's in the toolbar and I only wear it during PvsP. It's condition does get reduced, need to check the combat log to see if it's stopping anything though.

I have a wookiee and she notices right away when her PSG ran out. Fighting pirates... she was getting very hurt wearing KC (the wookiee armor, Kashyyykian ceremonial, which has kinetic as it's special) and a PSG that ran out to 0. Between missions, she got a new one out of the droid and voila, nearly no damage from the next set.

Yes, you most definately can wear it with armor. Yes, you should unequip and reequip before battle. Yes, they work. The damage they absorb, so it doesn't hit you, is the condition they lose. So.... if it is decaying fast, it's working overtime.

Get a crate and put it in your droid to avoid decay. You can also repair them (as long as they are not at 0) and I think you can slice them, too.

yes, you can slice them

yes, you can repair them

yes, they work while you're wearing armor as well

However, i've noticed in PvP that if i'm hit with an AP1 or higher weapon, it "bybasses" the PSG ... which in my eyes means that only an AP0 weapon will be stopped by the PSG, thereby degrading it. If the DWB guys are all using AP1 NPC weapons, maybe that's why the PSG isn't working. Check your combat log to see if it's still stopping damage and it's condition is just bugged.

Also, i'm not positive about the above paragraph, it's just a theory for why it's happening.

Good Morning from the UK

I am (after work) going to be making some PSG's, but was wondering if there was anywhere (or anyone) that could tell me the sort of results I can be expected to achieve on MK I's, MK II's, MK III's and IMP PSG's.

I am a 10 point Armoursmith in a research city (If that helps!)

I am also led to believe that the components quality don't matter, only he final resources, is this true?

All Advice muchly appreciated

The materials used in the components has no influence on the final assemble only the resources used in the final assemble matters.

As for results.. it depends on your resources.
