Re: Ahazi beggers.

I get that a fair bit too. I never ever help those that beg. However...about 2 days ago I had tells from a player asking me for free armour, ofcourse I say no, they then go on and all sorts of questions that could only be from a newb. It comes to light that he's not novice in any elite and wouldnt be able to wear armour anyway.

I answer a few really newb questions, and give him some red herrings to chase. ie you must run up the ramp of a shuttle to board, if it wont let you it means the shuttle is full and you have to wait for the next one We had a fairly decent chat for 15 mins or so, I ended up tipping him 200k and told him to check his bank balance. The reaction to 200k could only have been generated by a newb

On the other hand if I even suspect youre not really a newb and just trying to get free stuff from me you have 0% chance to succeed

I get a lot of questions and probably half of them have nothing to do with armor. Why this is I have no idea. But I got a tell yesterday from a smith that wanted to buy my cores. (This after I announced on the trade forums that I had perfect recon armor for sale.) I told him he could buy final armor pieces just like everyone and resell them if he wanted to but he wasn't putting his name on my cores.

Best tell I've had so far "I heard you were and armorsmith so can I have some money"

I dont mind being a middleman... they make alot too.

Nothing wrong with selling cores. I sell my perfect advanced cores for 90k each. Just money in my pocket (which *MUCH* less time invested) and he will still have to buy MY cores if you wants to keep up the facade of being a good armorsmith. /shrug

Wow... I can barely buy crappy hide for 20cpu much less completed adv. cores.

LOL, im actually getting about 254cpu on the cores.... not shabby. Didnt even use my best hides on the assault and recon.... im hitting 5618 on the reconwith 735 oq/sr lok leather, and 5616 on the assault with 898 oq/sr dant wooly

Oh Duh!! I was thinking 4k resources for a suit of cores. My mistake.

Ah the joys of being a crafter

I've had the following (and variations) a few times before the CU:
"Are you a tailor?"
"Yes"
"Can you make armour?"
"No, I'm a tailor"
"Cool, can you make me a set of comp please"
"...."

But since then I've been left alone, even though Ican make armour now LoL. I hide my master tailor and armoursmith tags as most people who come to me know I'm a tailor, or have been refered by someone who knows I'm a tailor

I have a funny AS story - nothing "retarded" tho.

This is about a guildmate I know, not very well, but one I spend time with none the less.

She and I were part of a unting party the other night - we all went Krayt hunting - I was given some great loot, some Assault Armor Cores (6.5k kinetic, 4.5k energy, 5.6k kinetic) and of course the leader of our group (the guildmate in question) immediately wanted me to make a suit for her. I found that a little pretentious, but thats besides the point, she's still great anyways.

So I am gavthering the resources required to make her a suilt of Assault armor, and I finally collected the last part - some Scaley Hide (great OQ, SR, UT on it. wow). Just as I'm about to start crafting it - I send her a tell letting her know it will be done shortly, and then I realize that I bought the wrong type of Wood. And of course I cant find anything good on any vendor search or bazaar search, then I decide to check SWGCraft.com. Theres a great deposit of te wood on Endor (like im gonna last 2 sec there alone). So I invite her to come help me while I put up a flora farm (for my own use) and take some samples for use in her suit. We ended up getting mauled by numerous types of creatures not only on the way to the deposit, but while I am trying to survey.

After about 30-45 min we have enough units to craft the suit - so we go back to my place to craft and I get workin on it. After all that - and now that I have some damn nice Hunting Armor (The chestplate's endurance was something crazy like 150k - i gotta geta screenie for my records). I go to trade with her for payment and her product... then I get a tell...

"Don't get mad at me, but I have a problem."

You guessed it, no money. She had like 139K to her name - and I didnt want to take all her creds, so I ask her to send me what she can spare without me clearning her out - she gives me 50k.

We agree that another 300k is in order (i took her efforts with me on endor into account, and considering that I was really only out some amazing looted cores, and some high-q resources for the final combine).

Moral of the story - Be nice all you customers out there - and all though things aren't "perfect" with the arrangement, a compromise can always be made.

I really cant wait till I paid tho... im off to hunt more krayt. WOO HOO!

That's about as annoying as the tell "your an armorsmith right?" and you say "that's what the tital reads" and he says "can you make armor?"....

Think we got stupid customers because we´re armorsmiths? Think again, this is paraphrased from a post on the WS forum where WS's complain about their customers:

Customer: "Hi!!!"

Me: (Here we go again...)"Hi"

Customer: "so...."

Me: "yes?"

Customer: "You´re a weaponsmith!"

Me: "That´s what the tag says, yes"

Customer: "So can you make me some armor??"

/addignore Customer

My god.. The stupidity..

This is why you don´t see a lot of master weaponsmith tags. And why I never have any Master Crafter or even Smuggler tags hanging over my head.

I Only sell in Packs, if they don't Buy then there lose not mine. The only time i had somone complan about this was whwn i was selling a set of RIS armor 15mill is a lot of money and as such i Figered i would be nice and take the items out of the bag and trade it to him.

Honestly if they can't trust me then Fukm i get tired of the hole Are you an armor smith can you make me armor Stile Questions and such. If i end up not selling anything then i'll do somthing else. i agree that there should be no reson they can't buy armor in pack's, it's just easyer all arownd and if there is a Prob they can go spam at the MO that i riped them off.

When i first started geting orders and tell's i was nice and i think all the stuped questions and such have just made me an a hole when it comes to them kind of questions, i don't mean to be that way i just get sick and tired of it. I'm realy nice at heart just can't stand it 24/7 while i'm just trying to have fun.

The other day i was playing my alt trying to relax from making armor and this guy msgs me saying he wants armor so i tell him to email my alt he dose and i keep playing as the day went on he msged me again and asked how long it would be tell it was ready, i informed him that i don't make armor on Sundays, i try to relax, this went on ALL day proly got 20 or 30 tell's from him and i was nice each time. Then what Pissed me off was he Sent me the Finle tell saying that he found somone else to make it and that i was taking too long AFTER 30 or so TELL'S SAYING THAT I DON'T MAKE ARMOR ON SUNDAY HE HAD THE GALL TO TELL ME I WAS TAKING TOO LONG?? I Responded to him that he was Quit a pain in the ass, for me to have to enure his tell's every few min's asking when it would be ready, to end i sead somthing like remind me to banne you from my store.

It's ok to ask once but not 2 times and not 30+ for Dam sure!

Today i got a msg from a Pain in the ars client that i put up with cuss he buy's lot of armor, sead he found me a 30k Deed, i told him Great where is it, somwhere on Cnet, mmm k send me the way point, do i get a reward?, lol like what?, a sute of RIS would be cool, lol, ok a Health enhanced sute of RIS, lol, Min's pass..... Ok a Quad layered sute of Padded armor, i Responded with some string of not so nice insults and other stuff i don't remember all of what i sead but i was pissed at his audasity to do what he was doing.

I Hait to have to admit it but i think i'm going to have to do the AFK thing from now on as was stated above, i just hait geting pissed off and yellingabout the stupidity that is coming from the clients mouths now a days.

I think you're the one who needs clue. No established crafter is going to scam people, their reputations won't last five seconds. There's a world of difference between a well known AS selling bagged armor (which is commonly done by almost ALL armorsmiths) and some stranger that no one's ever heard off offering a bag to your vendor without invitation or explanation.

Slim Vargo, Corbantis

id have to agree with slim, its bad buisness to scam as a crafter. To say that labeling a backpack is a bad plan, thats like saying the super Walmart needs to sell thier box of cheerios one crusty little cherrio at a time.
