Just a couple things people dont seem to be focusing on.

Try putting crafter survivablitiy in the wilderness in there.. Sorta hard to survey and place harvesters from the clone center.

Not to mention maybe an increase in the number of hides per a harvest on critters... Went out on lok two nights ago to get some leathery, as a master tka, ranger.. managed to get 58k in 4 hours. I cannot see that happening in the CU.

Does it even make a difference anymore? I'm just rather depressed over the whole situation.

We lose nothing by trying. I guess it's the optimist in me.

I have noticed your post do seem a little less optomistic lately.

It's not really a new development -- I've been very skeptical about the wholeCURB from the git-go, but I figured I'd keep an open mind and a positive attitude when discussing it on the boards and within my guild.Initially, I had great hopes for the armorcrafting changes -- the core/appearance thing is actually a pretty good idea.

Iassumed that decent player testing and input might actually help make the game better, as had happened with the original SWG Beta and the JTL beta. Y'know, things like developers actually asking for focused testing, requesting and actually acting on feedback instead of taking the defensive "I know best" attitude, etc.

Silly me.

At any rate, in an effort to make this something of a "content" post, I'll just list my top issues post-CURB:

  • Armor Utility -- With TKA natural armor still being better than most of what we can craft, we can assume that a largenumber of combatants will retemplate towards TKM, reducing our market. There's also some question as to whether the combat level damage modifier will render armor pointless or not.

I'll also say that basic and standard cores will be utterly pointless as well -- the number of people leveling brand-new combat toons will be pretty low, and they won't have near the funds required to purchase a suit. Not to mention that basic cores only absorb 10-15%, which is pretty useless for anyone. Even the worst Mabari suit today will reduce AP0 attacks by 50%.

  • Armor Experimentation -- Buh! Duh! Fuh! Max the one line! Buh! Duh! Fuh!

  • Layers -- They're next to useless, and will certainly not have much of a market. This is sort of my pet issue.

  • Armor Rating vs. Percentile Resists -- Just put the freakin' percentage resists on the final assembly already. The new weapons even show your modified DPS, while armor just shows base stats and "your" hindrances. Woohoo. No one wants to explain to every customer exactly what 5871 Armor Rating means (47.3%, for those keeping score at home).

  • Slicing -- Although slicing raises hindrances slightly, the total effect on an elite combat master is so minimal as to be ignored, meaning that all armor will likely be sliced. Because slicing is 100% predictive now, there is little point in selling anything but sliced armor.

  • Specific Planetary Organics -- Why anyone can think that it's a good idea for the main armorsmith products to be hugely dependent on one specific creature resource is beyond me. I don't mind the increased organic requirements. I do, however, mind dumb organic requirements.

Ok, I have to submit a list of our top 10 issues very soon to the Devs. This means I'd like to get this done this afternoon at the latest. I need you to look at this list and tell me if I've forgot any burning issues (as I've been up writing my paper for my final all night). These aren't ranked in any specific order, but the more pressing issues to us are near the top.

I will expand upon some of these that need it

1) Combat Level (CL) makes Armor more or less Obsolete and/or useless

2) Resource requirements still incredibly high

3) Lack of a sophisticated, in depth experimentation process

4) Items are still not converting properly (Loot enhancers, crated Layers/Segments/Armor)

5) Layered vs Unlayered Armor (Regarding the "nerf" to Primus Layers)

6) Factory times on layers too high

7) What exactly does a 4 digit resistance MEAN?

8) Lack of overall variety among the various loot enhancers (all seem to only add health bonuses)

9) Open

10) Open

So we got ignored on all issues, except factory times. And it's too late to address the armor conversion.

I agree on each and everyone of ure points especially the experimentation is worse ... +2 now is worth nothing and we even dont have a single alternative in the crafting process so i really dont understand why we need to experiment anymore beause there is only one line .... this is by far the worst thing SOE has ever done ..... not to mention the new insane natural ressource requirements .
