No this is more EQ2. In WOW you progress through your levels in zones made for you. So if you were level 25 you would be leveling in areas that were lvl 20-30. You were never 1 hit killed in wow unless you go to areas you shouldnt be. EQ2 had mobs that were group ^^ and would eat you alive solo similar to this new system. There was no way to avoid these mobs. Likewise, the CU will require all these resources to craft which are on planets with extreme mobs. Think of it this way... Wow never required you to visit the Plague lands lvl 50-60 area on a regular basis to get resources for crafting with your lvl 10 character. Thats how it will be. Your low level crafter will be required to visit Dathomir for named resources while level 300 mobs are spawned all around him. Its going to be instant death and the boards will be on fire.
The CU is EQ2 plain and simple. If it was like wow it would be much better than the eq2 style.

Roman in the new system we could wear the best armor made on the server and it wouldnt make a bit of difference. The CU is all about level and an armorsmiths level will be very low compared to a combat character. I am a level 22 combat character wearing assault armor on tc and I get 1shot killed by mobs 10 levels above me. Imagine a lone armorsmith trying to get resources off dathomir, endory, yavin, or dantooine. Level is all that matters in the new system. If your level is lower than mobs your going to die. The con system is a tell all be all which sucks now. If its yellow and you have no combat you die. Red and Purple you die in 1 shot. It sucks for crafters.

Devs all time have no logic and too Far Far away from realism... Any one can wear armor but only profi can fight in this case.We dont need fight we only need some protection. So KEEP armor sertification for char who have combat skills!!!!!! IF i dont have any combat skills so i can wear ANY armor. Penalty for mooving speed? Sure we ready pay this price.
Lol its mean Armorsmith dead profession ?

Actually a more appropriate response would be something starwars based! Like...
It would be like fighting rancors in nothing but hotpants, unbuffed, and with only novice brawler.
