I am pretty sure the devs are going to put in something that allows continual flow of income to us crafters.
They did to harvestors. After three months, if the harvies aren't used, they will "die". After you put the harvies to use a few times, they will "break"... and so we'll have to get new ones. Because of this, they made harvies easier to craft in the NGE I think.
Seeing that example with the harvies, I really believe the devs will add something in the game that allows armorsmiths (and weaponsmiths, tailors, etc.) a continual source of business.
Thanks so much Summerflame. That is all I wanted, an answer. Not the answer I was looking for but an answer to say the least. Keep up the good work. Also, I apologize if you feel I am directing my anger toward the correspondents. I mean no ill will to anybuddy. I just want to know all the details on how decay will affect the player driven economy.
I agree with the earlier post that recommends jacking up our prices to reflect the no decay. On the Tempest servers adk's would go for an average of 25 million. So a full suit of RIS base price would be 12 millto putthe suit togethorplus 25 mill x 9 pieces which would bring it to a grand total of 237 million credz. Not bad. Anyone can buy it and it is indestructible. WHo is with me?
We are on the ball in the Correspondent forum and NGE forums, but guess what: No reply.
We are getting nothing but support from the other Correspondents (as far as I have seen), but the lack of replies indicate that the people in charge have made up their mind. Furthermore, other reports indicate the we are drifting towards a loot based system (WoW anyone?).
I will start a focus thread, but FYI I will not be in-game for another week.
