Just FYI the armour hole doesn't seem to be fixed. Was fighting an enhanced kwi in the geo caves wearing full 80% kinetic/54% base composite and took a hit of over 1k damage.

Unfortunatly I didn't think to check the combat log or get a screenshot as I was kinda busy trying to help out the rest of my team but I thought I should just bring it up.

I'll keep an eye out ofr it happening again and get a shot of it next time.

I am not sure, but about the armor hole... you have to realize that even with uber l337 armor equiped you are not 100% granteed to block. Any people that play pencil and paper rpgs should know this stuff. Basically everything that happens is roll of dice, if you get a low roll and the enemy gets a high roll, then you get smacked. There are even things such as critical hits and critical misses for when you get two ones (snake eyes) or two sixes (box cars) that will cause occasional hits to land no matter the defending die roll. Yeah you cant see the die roll, the computer process it very fast and makes it into a semi-smooth battle scene, but there is a factor that determined these things. You can look the next time your fighting and the message miss will appear when you fail to roll high enough to hit the thing your attacking, this is also part of the cause of sometimes seeing your damage and the creature die then you shoot the weapon. Ii is a little lag there, but its because the computer took the die rolls calculated all the hits, defenses, modifiers, and everything else and processed that, then ran the animation for the attack.

So in short, your armor most likely doesnt have a "hole" in it, It is working just fine but you dont block every attack that comes your way. There is no such thing as 100% blocking armor, just that when it does it can block whatever the level is (example if you get hit with 1000 points of kinetic with 60% kinetic armor equiped the max the armor should block is 600 pnts (not factoring in attributes from your charactor or mods from the attack at all. These can greatly increase or decrease this amount of "absorbed" attack but gets tricky to calculate easily. Just know it does effect the outcome). Again that does not mean that you will block 600 points from every 1000 point attack you take, your die rolls (these are random generated by the way) could cause you to not block anything and thus take a 1000 point hit and make you think your armor is not working when it is.Your roll could just as easy be a very good one wile the attacker rollspoor andthen you to block 100% of the damage even tho the armor is only supposed to absorb 60%. This is why RPG is so interesting, your personal modifiers are effected by a randomness factor so no matter how uber you are you can still get spanked if the other guy has good die roll come often.

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else, and also if I am wrong about exactly how this game works. Ive been playing long enough to know it cant be much off from that tho maybe just diff processes being a computer not a person. And I really liked on NeverWinter Nights you could turn on the die rolls and then you could see it a little clearer, but o well this Game is Awesome and the Most fun ive had playing games in a long time.

Oh so I have to reequip, I see heh, I thought all my PSGs were bugged

Anyway, I have seen some PSGs that have different stats than they are supposed to (dunno if all are prepatch tho) like having energy and restraint resists only, and I still have an Imp PSG with Kinetic resists heh
