Like I said if you think I exploited come to Intrepid and send a ticket. Ive been an honest smith for 10 months and have NEVER used and exploit- Im talking gray areas to such as no serial loot, never made any schems on the one day nerf, etc etc.

These helms are legit as they come.

Read the damn post on the force sensitive crafting above.

If FS crafting is indeed the reason, then clarify things for everyone and just say it's that. Dangling these stats out here and mentioning a "secret" crafting process will invite exactly what this thread has, accusations.

OK here is my take on this from Intrepid...

Both the smiths thatachieved this on Intrepid are both legit 12 pointers (scandalous reputations tho). NO FS crafting trees that I am aware of on either of them. But from the screen caps I have seen, and the HINTS Rocky has posted, it all smells a little fishy. Congrats to finding a way to work around the current cap system. If its ingame its fairgame.

I can pretty much GUARANTEE that I am using the same exact resources they are, and am only able to achieve 40% stun layers using Amazing successes (even dbl amazings). and Maxing out the Special protection (Stun) on layers. From thier posts - I understand thatI(and them 2)are the only 3 smiths making 40% stun too.

There are a couple red flags I notice:

1) They both only made Helms from what Ihave seen. This leads me to believe that although the method isrepeatable, its super difficult to repeat. IE an abnormal result.

2) The base resist is only 65%, instead of the 66% normally made with the 40% stun. (if you max base after stun). This was the first thing I noticed. Again sounds like an abnormal result (like a failure, or average success that has been experimented afterwords).

3) The secrecy may be for business reasons, but these guys brag about EVERYTHING. Why not brag about this? There is only one other person on the server with the resources in stock to repeat it (Me). Im guessing here, but it might be because they dont want to get chewed up by the community crying foul (which has happened in the past with 1 of the smiths involved.

4) Again reading all the HINTS posted, they mention that similar results (breaking the cap) are able to be reproduced on other items in all of crafting. So this has nothing to do with resources or typical experimentation methods. It has something to do with the experimentation/assembly, and it was mentioned that a major amount of "grinding" is involved - which leads me back to ABNORMAL RESULTS....

Personally, if its using abnormal results ( odd assemblies, or successes/failures on experimentations ) kudos to them for having the patience grinding those out. I know I dont want to be changing to grinding out failures instead of amazings.

I congratulate them on breaking the cap somehow, but stop short of cheering for them until the method is revealed (or reverse engineered) and confirmed legit.

I've heard of someone on shadowfire who has 44 or 45% stun armor. I said, well it's duh, a psg. No, it's not, it's regular armor. Well then it's from crafting nerf day right? No it's newly made. Oh well.

Didn't you have a 43% you were trying to sell for 2m+? Did we ever "learn" how you made it?

By the way, I am not trying to be rude. Just wondering if we learned how you did it. I wasn't following the forums then.

LOL nice try

Yes. its common knowledge that those were made on the ONE DAY CRAFTING NERF - aka Super Tuesday - just do some searching on the forums for the answer. Thats why the record stood for so long - because nobody could beat it without the 1 day patch

Yes, I can confirm what Akme has stated in relation to his 43% Stun. I went the other way on Super Tuesday and made 0/0/0 HAM layers. I still have the unused schematics for them in my datapad.

Yep I made some of those 0/0/0 layers also some big fat base % layers....

which is precisely the point here - They have somehow found a way to get greater results than achieved on the Super Tuesday patch(where you could experiment to 100% on any line) they are getting greater than 100% results - aka "breaking the cap"

umm...you'll forgive me if I say that sounds fishy

edit: would you mind posting the resource spawns you used for your stun layers?

Here are the resources I am 99.9% sure they would use. These are the 3 "bests" on our server, and 1 of them is very VERY old - but I know they have all 3 because its basically the only recipe (other non ferrous can be used) that can hit 40% stun on Intrepid (using normal experimentation methods), and currently myself, and these 2 guys are the only ones making 40% stun.....

TrimoiforehiumCrism Silicastic Ore

Mal 614 OQ 985 SR 243

Omeotaide Vertex Crystalline Gemstone

Mal 386 OQ 863 SR 992

Epedella Kammris Iron

Mal 386 OQ 962 SR 990

And the MAX should be 15% stun layers - aka 45% stun armor if triple layered. Like mentioned before, using the accepted mathematics and crafting system there is no way these 3 resources should yield a 97.77+ result under normal experimentation. One look at the stats on the Crism/Gem explain why 40% stun has been the cap on Intrepid (besides the 43% I made on Super Tuesday). It more closely resembles the 88% result 40% represents.

Again - good job to these guys for finding something in the crafting system thats abnormal. They could have only done that by paying attention to the details, and using whatever the game dished out. But it sounds like a non intended game bug to me. Im sure they are grinning ear to eart knowing I have been chewing on this all morning LOL

I thought that also. so I tested it....

Here is the results with both an AMAZING on ASSEMBLY - AND - EXPERIMENTATION. Yielded 86% aka 13.333+ stun % on the layer - enough to make a 40% piece.
