wow the general attitude her is kind of saddening. Now, I can understand expecting a fair price to take the time to go down in this dungeon and craft this armor. But the thing is, most people will probably aquire all the components, and then go find the crafter they need. It would require you to suit up, joing a group, travel, get to the crafting room, make a few clicks and leave. I can't imagine that any crafter would be required to spend more than 1 hour total time for a customer. If you don't have 1 hour of time for a customer, then I wouldn't deal with you.

And to the guy that asked define a loyal customer? How about this. The guy that put the millions that you have in your pocket. Seems some people are ignoring the fact thaat you can be a 12 point RIS cert'd smith and craft the most gorgeous composite in the game, but if no one buys the stuff, you are NOTHING. Your customers make you what you are, and if you lose sight of that, you've lost sight of being a crafter/merchant.

wow, your attitude is kind of one-sided... understand that if each customer i had asked for "just 1 hour of my time" when i have a full-time job, part-time school, wife, friends, etc not to mention that when i am online i have armor to craft/slice and vendors to stock... now, given how much "free time" i have left to give out for customers, regardless of how loyal they all are, is very little (and even harder to get a solid 1 hour block). so, in order to help compensate for that time which is precious and in high demand, i think some credits or skill tapes is a small/fair trade for Mand Armor.

don't get me wrong, i love to help my customers in every way i can, but there's just too many people that buy armor and going into the fray over and over again just because they all threaten to stop shopping with me would be impossible. in fact, i doubt that ANY customers would stop using their AS just because the AS didn't have time to go into the bunker more than once per day/week/month.

[edit] by the way, i'm talking about 'customers' only. i'm not talking about people that have become my friends over the course of the game. for those i would run to the bunker in a heartbeat without asking for anything in return except maybe a screenshot of the whole set.

Good. Sounds like you might have a good relationship with your smith. Is he going to help you get the armor?

I'm looking forward to it myself.

Since it from what we know only involves pressing a button and had nothing to do with actual armor crafting i dont see why ppl would want to hire a real armorsmith to do it since there are countless grind monkeys avaliable that can do it instead.

Also from what i have been hearing of TC it isnt your average tiny little dungeon but a rather large complex that takes time trudging through. And speaking for myself (without any combat skills what so ever) spending 3 or so hours batteling super battle droids with a CDEF isnt exatcly my idea of fun

I'm sure the guilds and/or individuals who are the most "desperate" for this armor got an alt and have been grinding him to master AS/DE/Tailor so they have it all in one neat little package so they don't have to interact with anyone outside their own little circle. Yes, you can master all three but have almost no points left over for anything else.

What would it take for me to go? Someone who wanted me along on the adventure and wouldn't complain about me actually participating (I have so many pistols I should change my name to Annie). But, it would also have to be someone who would have to understand I also have to spend time doing factory work and building suits for orders and my vendor and those can't be done at the same time I am off galavanting around the galaxy.

Heck... I call the adventures part of my armor experimentation, field work *impish grin*.
