Thread: Customers... Suck...

No one is advocating being rude to customers. We are asking for patience when dealing with us as you are not the only customer we have "ringing in our ears" at that very moment in time.

Tells come in fast and furious and it is difficult to keep conversations short and sweet as each customer wants to "chit chat". Which is fine, but when others are tapping their foot in front of you waiting and you are juggling 10 tells at once and trying to take orders and craft, it gets frustrating.

Its a love/hate relationship. Ask any parent if they love spending quality time with their children and hands down they say yes, however take the kids on a road trip with 20 hours of "Are we there yets" and it gets frustrating. Do you love your kids any less?....no.

Same with crafting. We love our profession. We love spending time doing it and helping others, but at some point you get overwhelmed and frustrated. Especially if you have rude people who are not understanding of what is going on.

Some customers just whine and are even down right abusive with their language that you cant help but hold your tongue. In some instances even kicking them out of the shoppe. But all in all, most are pleasant to deal with and understanding.

Most armorsmiths I know do not intentionally put junk up. If there is junk, it is usually from inexperienced crafters just learning the trade. Most that are in the profession as a main profession, try their hardest to find the right combos of resources and expermentation to get as high a quality as they are able to make. But it is a learning process. If you see junk on a bazaar or vendor, dont but it. It will time out and pop back into the crafters possession and then they are stuck wondering why it didnt sell.

Be a wise consumer, but a pleasant one is all we ask.

Hah! Yes, I've been feeling all of this too... (Note: I like most of my customers, but some of them only add to my stress and this is based on my experiences with them)

"can you make some bounty hunter armor for me???"

"I'm not sure what you mean. I can make Bone, Mabari, Chitin, Ubese, Tantel, and Padded"

"ill take an ubese set"

"Ok, but it'll be at least a couple hours, I've got a lot of orders lined up"

"that's fine, message me when you're done"

*20 minutes later*

"gotten to mine yet?"

"Um, no, it'll be a lot longer, I'll message you"

"ok"

*40 minutes later*

"hey, gotten to my set yet??"

"No, it'll still be another hour at least, I'll let you know"

"oh, ok"

*An hour later*

"hey are you done with mine yet?"

"Almost, just the arm pieces left"

"cool. oh, i don't have enough money, is 32k credits and 532 insect meat enough??"

*Three days later*

"ok, I got enough money"

"You're in luck, I have a set left"

"cool, thanks"

"No problem"

"why does it say im not healthy enough??"

I plan on making armor mostly for my PA members. Different ranks will receive better armor, which will be used on hunts, fights, etc. Any extra that I feel like crafting will be sold to a vendor.
