Thread: Mandalorian armor
I've heard this from day one that Mandolorian Armor is in game, and I believe that it is in there somewhere just not active yet. I agree with the other posts that the quest should only be made available to master bounty hunters, similar to RIS and master armorsmiths, and it should not be limited to a certain number of sets. RIS has been active for a while now and most armorsmiths I know won't bother with it because of all the random loots you need to make it and the process you have to go through to get schematics, and on top of that it's not that good anyway.
The mandolorian armor should be a npc quest that requires the master bounty hunter to acquire items for the mission giver. Afterthenpchas all these itemshe will then givethe mbh the schematics for the armor. After you have the schematics you gather the necessary pieces, that only mbh's can get from loots, and not uber hard random loots, and resource harvesting, and you take those to a master armorsmith who will craft the armor for you. The trick should be that you can only acquire the schematics once and only once, so after you have a set that's it, you can't acquire another set and it can not be traded or bought, and if you drop mbh you will not be able to wear it or trade it. Or another way to do it would be the npc would give you the schematics and a one time crafting device, that will never critical fail, so you can make the armor.
The armor should not be like the ultimate armor either, just make it a little better than composite. If they make it like that maybe you won't have to camp a site for 3 days waiting for a random npc loot, which is absolutly crazy.
Since I'm a Fett fan, I really really hope I'll be seeing Mand. armor in-game.
The idea aboutaquiring it through aMBHquest sounds like a good option. And to comment on the power gamer completing the quest after 12 hours and the not so powergamer after 12 weeks, why not add some sort of timelimit to it. Like, you have to talk to this dude as a part of the quest, but why not have the dude pop up like, a day (real life time), after you get the order to talk to him? I don't know if it's actually possible tho.. heh
I hate to mention this about Mando armor but.....
Technically Mandolarians were Commandos and not all Bounty Hunters. Its just so happens that 2 very famous bounty hunters wear it (technically the same guy too, being a clone). So if the armor is ever released in game if its not already in saying that Bounty Hunters should be the only ones to wear it is somewhat shelfish. I honestly would LOVE having a set myself but I also dont want to be Fett wannabe. I want to leave my own mark on galaxy as my own type of Bounty Hunter. Honestly wouldnt it look a bit silly if every Bounty Hunter walked around wearing Mandolarian armor? I think it would be interesting in game to see some other types appear (can you say Clone trooper armor?)
Heck if you want to look like a bad ass Bounty Hunter go kill a mark in the middle of a city in front of a group of people. You would be surprised how many people cheer you on.

Lol mandalorian armor was worn by those who studied under a mandalorian master.
what mandalorian master did boba and his dad study under?
Jango was found as an orphan and 'adopted' by the mandalorian leader (Mandalorians were a 'gang' of professional bounty hunters (not commando as someone said). Jango was raised hard as a mandalorian and trained under this man until he was in his late teens, then the leader was backstabbed by the second in commando, who then got his ass kicked by jango. Jango then became their leader until all the mandalorians except him were wiped out by jedi (lead by dooku when he was a jedi master). Jango was then captured or something (memory is fuzzy) but cut a deal with dooku to help him in the clone wars (As seen in episode 2) since dooku wanted him to make the clones for their army. The reason dooku chose jango was because in the fight where all the mandalorians were killed, jangos best friend was cut in half by Padawan Quigon (or however you spell that cornballs name) and jango proceeded to kill 1 or 2 jedi with his rockets before killing another 2 or 3 with his bare hands (hence why he was spared, since dooku was leading the attack he saw the opportunity.)
Boba then learned from jango as a boy (note how boba was flying the slave 1 at age 10 or whatever) and finished his training on his own somehow. The silver mandalorian armor worn by jango in episode 2 was actually the second in commandarmorworn byhis friend who was cut in half, he found it on display somewhere and stole it after killing the guy holding it. The mandalorian armor worn by boba was considered to be "soldiers" armor.. i forget the color of the first in commands armor, i believe it was red.
Jasteer Mereal is his name the guy who jango was raised bye thats why his ship's name was Jasteers Leagacy.
Oh and if i see any pc with this armor i will quite the fact is that boba went through h*e* l*l getting his partial suit that he never finished (he never had leggins).
oh and jango became a BH after he was captured bye the jedi and his army (left to him bye Jasteer) was killed. he found Bh as a way to use his killin skills.
Awesome info cool1!
A friend of mine who was BH long time ago right at start of the game, told me that there was some Jabba realted missions that could contain mandalorian armour pieces as loot. However the looting of the armour was bugged and it was removed. And it hasnt been added yet.
Someone said that their CSR friend said "Mandalorian armour is not in any of the loot tables", but could they still be quest rewards?
Anways, that beeing a BH master only armour with a 100 hour long quest to get it would be the bomb! ![]()
It's nice to read a thread which is discussing a topic sensibly instead of flaming for a change. ![]()
Personnaly, I'd love to see this armour as a set of quests for MBH only, rather than a rare schematic system. There could be a quest for each piece, therefore to get a full set would require a campaign sized venture. The armour really doesn't need to be any better than composite really, I'd do it just for the novelty value.
Or, you can only perform each of the quests to gain a piece by killing a jedi
So after killing one jedi, you are awarded by a spokesperson within the empire a tip on where to start your next quest for your next piece of armour. You then have to kill another Jedi to get the next quest, etc.
Though that may create a similar problem to the holocrons, and god jedi would whine then (probably for good reason though, they'd be hounded to the ends of the galaxy, which may be a good thing or a bad thing really).
Here's a link to another board that has a history of the Mandalorians as presented in the Eu books and comics.

As far as I know, it's a myth. Fett has it in the movies, but it does not exist as of yet in the game, unfortunately.

Well Boba Fett is also wearing it in Jabba's palace, but I don't think it is in the game as a item.
Occasionally you'll hear a psycho saying they found an NPC that gives you a quest.
But come on, we have maps of every planet an NPC that exists. Pretty sure it's all a myth.
