Yes, grenades are an area effect weapon and damage everything in the radius including the user. Its not a dumb question and I'm sure you aren't the only one that didn't know that.

I haven't used them to grind FS exp, but I have an alt that is a commando and I just liked using them

maybe you all didn't understand

most high base armor that is sliced for encumberence doesn't sell at all and is sold cheap as all get out

yes 90% blast is good, but what I am trying to do is sell BOTH the encum and eff sliced stuff

usually if I did elec layers, the eff stuff sells, the enc is hard to push

Why exactly does 80% blast with encumberance slices sell more as opposed to 80% electric, heat, or cold?

I'm not quite understanding that.

first off Valcynites don't steal my idea till it hits the vendors lol, after that I don't care

I was thinking about making armor that was something like this.

80% blast

4-9% stun

71% base

and here is the thinking: I want to preslice everything. The profit margin on preslices is really good, while I could make 30k per peice selling it regular (just a number I through out there) , with presliced you can make 100-400k per piece for those 90% base peices

so...all the effectiveness slices are priced accordingly (better profits) both kin and energy can be sliced to 90%

and the drawback is usually no one want the encumberence sliced stuff and you have to sell it really cheap, but.....the hologrinder/grenadier types love blast damage and eat up encumberence sliced blast armor

what do you think? anyone else have suggestions or other stuff you do?

I understand you, and yes it's a good idea, sell the enc at drop down grinding prices, and still have the eff slices to earn big bucks on...

Every other run or so i make some cold layered armor. 80%cold 7% stun 71% base. I preslice before sale. Effective slices end up being 80-90% kinetic and base. a 90% kinetic and base suit with the only resist lower being cold, which not much in game dishes out is something that sells quick and people seem to want. As far as all the encumbrance sliced, well it seems to sell too, ijust sell very cheap. People can buy a cheater suit for about 90k and use it to grind stuff when they dont want to wear out there high end armor.
Its a good deal for everybody, i get the high end market withe 85-90% kinetic base, and i provide grinders and new players with a decent product with the discounted encumbrance. The discounted encumbrance covers the cost and the high end is where my profit is. I see it as a win win.

I did a 80% blast, 71% base armor presliced. It sold well enough. The key with the 80% blast and ecomb sliced is that it is good for gernade tossing. If you have 80% elec and 71% base, that ecomb sliced armor can go head and be given to noobies that can't afford the real stuff or be destroyed. Now if you didn't slice it at all, you will save yourself a lot of time and it will all sale. People are foolish enough to believe that they will get that perfect slice and preferr paying full price for unsliced armor over paying half price for not so grealy sliced armor. You'll need 26% slices at 71% base for 90%, maybe 1 out of 10 gets that. Some how I get a lot of 89%s too. It is rare to get such a bad slice that it is still in the 70% though. Half ends up encom sliced. Expect to walk away with the same amount of money as if you didn't bother slicing at all, since you lose out on over half the armor.

In the end, I don't think it is worth all the work.
