There are two different types of enchancements the ones that are used in armour crafting process and increase the effectiveness or reduce the encumbrance of the armour, and those that are added to socketed armour in order to give skill bonuses. Nobody makes either of these types they are loot drops. The ones you are looking for (the first type) drop from creatures, the others from npcs. I think Kimogilas on Lok drop bone armour enchancers, but I don't think they are the only creatures to do so. To be honest I am not sure that there is much of a market for them as bone armour isn't that popular, although it can be useful for running faction missions. I hope that helps.

The segment enhacers are... krayt scales, kimo scales, voritor scales.. see the pattern? When you examine the item it'll say "used to ehance armor". If what you have looted is a SEGMENT then it'll tell you exactly what sort of armor it must go in. To the original poster. If you looknear the bottom of the forum listings, you'll see a tab called professions. Click through there and hit the armosmithing forum. It has so much information you could spend an entire day just reading all the tips and tricks We also have a great FAQ just on how to wear armor, and picking the right armor for you. Another FAQ is for things like this, which everyone wants to know, but isn't in the holocron..

To the other poster, the attachments go in after armor creation, and can be used by anyone. They have nothing to do with enhancements.

Another great enhancer are the nightsister shards. They seriously reduce the encumberance on an armor..

As a Wookie I have never paid any attention to armor other than PSGs. With teh new Wookie Armor on it's way I would like to start gathering resources to bring to an armorsmith. I've got a handle on most of the stuf, but what are armor enhancing segments? Are these the loot drops from Krayts, brackesettes, Nightsisters, and the like? Or are these armor attachments like the ones that grant bonues to abilities.

If it is the former of these choices, can anybody clue me into which loot drops do what? Are they all different or can blanket statements be made about them. ie Nighsister is better than Krayt...etc.

They are the loot drops, but not sure what ones will work with this armor yet......
