you should be more concerned about the 9 GDK scales

Don't forget that if you use RIS Layers in it, you will need 18 for standard RIS Segments and 27 for the Interwoven RIS Segment Schematic....

First complete RIS set made for myself on Aug 1, 2004 with stats of approx 75% Kinetic/4% Stun/5% Acid/65% Base/vuln to Lightsaber. (unsliced)

Why would anyone waste RIS components and make pieces with RIS layers?

Why do you always see helmets for RIS? If I were to make a suit, I'd start with the chestplate. Is there some bug about it that keeps people away from the other pieces?

Also is there any hope of them making RIS easier to craft? (It seems odd thatthey introduce an armor that is nearly impossible to craft in the game)

People who can affort it always want the helmet first some how its nice to put it on with some other cloths or armor.... and the chest piece not also the pants and boots is more in a favor bevore the Chest

and no does not make it easyer the multi drop already makes it booming ....

And not only the Loot drops are that rare also very good resourse don't come that often

I used to wear my RIS helmet, chest plate, and leggings with the rest as BH armor. Its looked very cool since the RIS i made was blue.

The helm is the most identifiable piece. You know right away what you are looking at. If someone is just standing around with a chest piece on its not as obvious.

There is the 'Cool' factor of course. The helmet is cool, the skirt is not.

There is also the function factor. Composite can get you 90%base and 40% stun. RIS can't really touch that since kin is gated at 80% and you have both stun and acid vulns. So you are better off with an amazing suit of composite that will cost less than the RIS.

The reason to go with just the helmet is doctor buffs. All your stats are high save the mind pool. The RIS helmet can be made with high resists to most things but low ham. You can basically trade off acid or stunresists for lower mind cost or get really low mind costs for trading off both acid and stun. The only down side is if you battle a rifleman on top of his game he can switch to his DX6 and head shot you in a hurry. But for PvE, RIS is a riflemans dream helmet.

I vote a big fat "No" on making RIS easier to make. This is not a standard set of armor. It's supposed to be super rare-- that is what makes it fun. I'm even a little peeved about the multi-drop bug/change- I'm starting to see multipleGDK's going in auction for 2 mil each from one person... to me, that just shouldn't be. RIS should be so cool and so rare that if someone were to loot a GDK they would never want to part with it. Just my opinion.

If the armor was better people would be less inclined to part with it. Still the shards/geo cubes/interwoven schem/NS layers used to make these pieces really nice are rather rare.
