Hi - I'm a ranger, not an armorsmith, but I am passing on what an armorsmith friend of mine told me. Apparently, there are voritor *scales* and there are voritor *segments*. The *scales* drop much less frequently, are very, very useful as they can be used to enhance ubese armor (and maybe other types of armor as well), but the *segments* are not that useful because they can only be used in bone armor. The thing about the scales, though, is that the more you have with the same serial number the better, becausevarious pieces of ubese armor require two or more scales with matching serial numbers. It's pretty easy to tell them apart - the segments say 'segment' and have the bone armor description (that was posted above). The scales say something different. So, if you have a lot of scales and you have a lot of sets with the same serial numbers, I would definitely get in touch with an armorsmith - they might be worth something.

Hi... I'm not a crafter, so i have no clue what is worth using or not, but I've been leveling on Dantooine and looting the scales of the lizards. I know the hide segments are for bone, can the scales be used for any armour? Are they even worth looting? Please let me know. tahnking you in advance.

Anyone should be able to loot them, I think. And I guess any voritor can drop them, but they may not be lootable from every one. some drop them, some don't

I have recently looted Voritor bone segments, would anyone tell me whether these are particular useful, what they are used for, and should I bother trying to collect them?

The bone segments arn't that usful unless you are lookin gto make BONE armor (It pulls kinetic out of vuln at least if I remember right). But SCALES are worth collecting since they can be added as enhancements any armor type that supports enhancers. I personally buy scales @ 500 credits on Radiant

Scales are wonderful. They pull energy vuln outta maberi, while boosting kinetic. On most servers, it boosts ubese kinetic to 80%. For balanced energy ubese, it makes high kinetic and energy stats. I love them

Bummer turns out they were just Hide Segments, from what I heard basically useless, maybe Ill give them to a staring out AS. But thanks for the info, and Ill always keep an eye peeled for scales.

Hi, all, shows how new I still am at this game...I honestly don't recall the stats on these, but accidentally when fighting some voritors last night, I clicked 'loot' on my loot/harvest hotkey (I was after meat for a bio-engineer friend, missed the shift before hitting the key, which means just 'loot' instead of 'harvest meat'), and got a surprise...voritor scales! Didn't even know they dropped, much less that they existed I think I managed to loot a good dozen of the things from various voritors (hey, it worked once, so I decided what the heck, extra payoffs are always good). So I've got two questions: these worth keeping to sell, first off, or should I just delete them? Second, are they an item like krayt tissues (or so I'm told about them) where you have to have a whole set with a certain serial number (or is it bonus?) or they do you no good? Thanks.

Yes, they are a lot like krayt scales and segments, only they are used to make bone armor. Not the most useful thing, but you may loot a real good one at some point that could be worth while. Lots of smiths use the hides in some armor types, but the segments are usually crap unless they are way above base.

Here is a good guide to AS looted components.
