Quit being like that AS's! Some people can't alwatys afford customized armor full sets, they have to buy them off the rack or piecemeal. We'd like armor customization kits just like how we like to color our droids & vehicles. There's no reason to get an AS involved in this part, the already bought armor belongs to us & we should be able to do whatever we like with it.

What about a situation where our chests & helmets decay faster than other pieces or we break a piece with a armor repair kit? It's just more feasable to buy another piece off the rack & color it to match your set yourself than to find a usually very busy AS & bugthem by asking for 1 customized piece that is not enhanced, layered, primused, capped, etc.

Get behind this idea AS's, as long as coloring is still bugged in the crafting stage( which it still is) the cudtomer should be allowed to recolor our armors. I got a perfect example of why it needs to be done.

On Starsider an AS who's shop was on Tat was selling all the rest of his armors & pieces at half-price because he was getting out of the business & switching to a combat prof. He colored all of his armors green & we all went & bought up his Composites, Ubese, Mabaris, Chitins & whatever else he had, all colored green. Now I want to recolor these pieces but I have no options cause I can't take an already crafted piece to to an AS & ask them to change the color or do itmyself with a custom kit. What do you AS's who are against this think I should do about all my green armor pieces, what options are available to me from your point of view?

i can see your point. but here is another view for ya. okay, you can't afford the custom armor. but you might beable to afford the non layered capped stuff. i sell all three suits that are unlayered and capped for 500k. i stock only the base color due to the factory crate bug, but if i get a tell or email saying they want a different color. i whip it up for them for the same price. i don't charge for coloring.

i do like the idea of a tool. and yes it would be helpfull, but there is other ways. i have plenty of people i know that i give huge discounts on armor for their work in scouting of resources. so maybe that is a good way to work out with an AS aswell.

I understand what you are saying too. I just hate having to buy a whole new suit just to replace a couple of broken pieces on the old suit. I manage to find my needed pieces tho & personally really don't care that I wear mismatched colors & I have a very reliable AS that hooks me up with the guild prices. When I start getting the higher end armors like Shocktrooper,BH, RIS & Mando(not that'll wear it enough for it to wear out) is when I'm really going to have a hard time justifying color matching, reasonable sell prices& replacing worn out parts. With all that's going on with Mustafar right now, I haven't seen any word on armor customization kits or much love for AS's outside of the Recon Maurader & a quested Comp helmet.

I know right now it's going it's going to be a headache hanging out sporting the cool protection & then getting attcked by some NPC/Mob that spawns right on top of me when I didn't plan on fighting in that armor. I'll have to clear out space in my inventory & hope lag doesn't jam my quick armorflash macros.

You're not wrong chemical, I also feel that customers should have an easier time getting the colors you want, but AS's need something first. It's a stupid thing for "custom" armor to be based on. With these new helms and weapons, you can see they are getting more into "bonuses" with the armor and weapons, why can't it be something the crafters add in? Having just health enhancers are lame. Give us a bunch of things to add into it to make some truly unique armors and no AS would give a crap about the kits.

It's a tailor's thing, to sit down with a customer and decide what colors will look best, but it's really the only thing I can do right now as an AS face to face with a customer...go over colors. You don't need to do that with health and layers. They just want +50 and the best primus or energy. You can just stock that and never talk to them. That's what some armorsmiths like and do anyways, but the ones who fight the color kits like the customer interaction. Change that to sitting down with a customer and deciding what mix of health/defense/and accuracy mods you want in your armor...now THAT is custom armorsmithing!

(had to wait because "post flooding detected (community got posts of a unique message more than 1 times within 3600 seconds)." Like I don't spend enough time in game waiting for regen, I have to wait for the forums to regen too.)

Either buy new ones, don't buy it in the first place, or deal with the fact it's green by reminding yourself that it was half price. You can't always have your cake and eat it too. Green isn't a bad color and matches many of the standard colors (black, white, blue, red, brown).

Would making armor coloring kits make it easier for customers to get the color they want? Yes it would. Would it completely destroy nearly every custom AS out there? Yes it would. If people are going to suggest Armor Coloring kits, something needs to be done to help give Custom AS's a niche so i am firmly against Armor Coloring kits (but completely support fixing the armor coloring bug, this seems like a bad solution to me though.)(i like lizzy's idea of more enhancers, i think they should be added in like Peko Feathers)

Was the composite armor market destroyed when people could change the color WITHOUT a kit? Hardly.

If this goes through, what's left for us to do?

The experimentation is so stupid even my 4 year old nephew can cap armor...

Health enhancers are such a pain, most of us hate making them.

Does this mean we just make factory runs of any color armor and and just sit there?

I'm sure many many players would love tohave coloring kits, but I personally don't see the benefits.

It's like making coloring kits for Tailor clothing.
