yup thats correct...boots and gloves seem to decay fastes when using a 4-piece set.

Isn't this an exploit? Since the system, in the absence of bracers and biceps, redirects damage to the gloves and likewise with pants to boots. I may be wrong but that's what I thought. Or did they fix that?

Tip to LEC/SOE: Sci-Fi MMO players don't necessarily belong to the same resource pool as fantasy MMO players.

wearing only a certain amount of armor is no exploit, yeh, u may be doing it on purpose, but it cannot be considered an exploit..........

trying to decide what stats i want for my adk'd armor, stuffed full of attachments.

i have a suit of 8100 kinetic 3900 energy 6000 base (ubese)

and a suit of 8100 energy 3900 kinetic 6000 base (BH armor).

so one is good vs jedi, the other vs normals - but if i'm going to put all my tapes into it and adk it, do i want something more in between?

maybe a set of BH armor with 7k kin 5k en 6k base, and wear a psg?

well its simple if you plan on fighting jedi more than anything else do the ubese, but if your gonna use adk's on armor make sure you have open sockets on it so you can add some aa's

mostly pvp - guild war and such. there are a lot of jedi out there, doing energy damage, and it seems everybody else is trying to slap kinetic damage on you to bypass your nice armor...

with 7k kinetic 5k energy 6k base, wearing a psg, will give you roughly 7k kin 7k en 6k base. looks good on paper, but in practice? that's where i'd like feedback. what type of armor are ppl using for general pvp?

Best for me works assault armor with 5.5k en 7.5k kin with a psg i can have then 7.5k en and still be able to mitigate the kin weps.

Only problem with that armor then is that jedi do much more damage than any ranged or other proffession in the game cause of their pre cu sabers / pearls. So if u only want to hunt jedi u need ure Ubese with 8.1k en adked then u even stand a chance against a pre cu saber.

Btw does someone think it is unfair that pre cu sabers are much better than pre cu rifles carbines or other weapons? Seems something hasnt been balanced yet... NERFCRY!!!

I would go with primus layered recon. 3900 in either kinetic or energy is too low, unless you were to exclusively hunt jedi then the recon would be best.

You can get primus layered recon at 7500 energy 5500 kinetic. This gives very good protection vs. energy, and while not ideal, it gives fair protection vs. kinetic. If you were to wear kinetic armor, your opponants would probably just switch to an energy weapon anyway. With recon at least you have the best protection vs. the players who cant switch, which is jedi.

Also, armor with extreme stats like yours seem to lose some ofits protection. if you add up the stats on your armor it comes to 12000 total points. The primus layered stuff I use comes to 13000, so your losing 1000 points going extreme on your armor.
