What is RIS armor? and where do you get it?

Check the armorsmith forum, they have a whole FAQ stickied at the top on RIS... screenshots... quests how too.. loot drop locations etc...

In a nutshell... although very cool looking, it's incredibly difficult to aquire all the loot to make. And even once made suffers from stat shifting bugs..... in addtion it just sucks. It cannot compete with other armors in game, despite the effort required to make it.

The only saving grace of RIS armor is that wookies can wear it.

1. Yes it has been made, there are not an unlimited amount of the pieces going around but it is out there.

2. The stats basically suck right now, way way to hard to make for what stats it has but really nice show piece.

3. It requires a woolamander harrower bone fragment, a giant dune kimogila scale, peko-peko feather, and a gurk king hide plus the normal resourses. I am not 100% sure if that is all correct but that is all I know component-wise.

4. They take a very very long time to get since they are very rare and heavily camped and the components can sell for 500k-1mil each easily.

My sig is of little use now due to the fact that I have quit.

To expand slighty woolamander bone fragment are from the temple of the woolamander on yavin4 and are only dropped by harrowers

Gurk hides are from Reclusive king gurks on lok

Giant dune kimo scales are from giant dune kimos (surprise) on Lok

Peko Peko albertoss feathers are from peko peko albertrosses on Naboo (You don't need these unless your doing layered armor)

One other thing that you can add to inprove the armor is janta hides found on dantooine

You need one of these per piece of armour

They are all very rare creatures with rare drops even when you kill these rare creatures, giant dune kimos are rare hard to kill and you may have to kill 20 of them to get 1 scale, and they go for about 5 million on my server, all the other pieces go for about 400-500k

Has anyone ever assembled this? My friend said he couldnt even get the stuff to make one piece of it and he camped an area to get it for days. I'm assuming if its that hard to make, than this armor must be like godly. If anyone knows anything else about this armor and where to get the stuff to make it, please tell me.

OK couple of question here and thanks for your info already.

1. Do you know the stats or a place where i can see the armor?

2. Is this armor better than Composite?

3. To the last guy, what server are you on because i'd like to buy and AV-21 Speeder from you if your on Bloodfin.

At the moment, all the armor is good for is show, the stats shift with every move you make, no joke. And basicly, it is better than composite if you can loot the adv. armor RIS segmant from Ackley. But for now, it sux..really doesnt get much higher than 40% base. Hope that helps.

well, I think the stat shifting is over, and there have been made a lot with better then 40 resists.. even without the acklay shem..

why do people keep saying kimos are rare. god follow me on lok and u'll run into three in 10 minutes. Hell i found 6 kimos(one was the gaint dune kimo) they were all dune just standing in a place. Tow where fighting and the other for were just watching.

Here's my helm. http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=76077 As you can see the stats aren't great compaired to composite. The helm was made with a 7% base janta hide.

Check the armorsmith FAQ for info on how to get yourself a piece.

Incorrect, so far as I know. According to the Friday Feature I believe, all armor will be vulnerable to lightsaber damage except PSGs
