Ah but as a master BH I am able to obtain many BH armor schematics and the process of obtianing rancor hide is just a question of me going out there and hunting down rancors for the modded loot hide so I have no problem in having none ADK armor. and the money is like everything else in swg something that either takes alittle time or a keen sense of marketing and sales of what you have and are able to obtain.

1 million for non layered... its a rip off... dont do it... especially if you are providing everything

as for the stats of the armor... i would highly suggest making your assualt armor full kinetic layered.... i get mine to 8100 kinetic resist...

if you go energy i get it at 6100 for energy... but really assault is not good armor for energy attacks...

if you go against jedi i would suggest using recon or battle and most are ranged now and most use energy attacks... as Recon i get up to 8100 and battle 7100 on energy resist...

for no layer i charge 350k for armor for layered i charge 700k... i only sell layered rebel faction so that is 2mill....

so you can see the kind of prices... but however i do have the best armor on the server...

and if its no layered dont pay anything over 250k if its not maxed and 4 socket armor

this is your market strategy and that is great. You are forgetting something, you are not on his server!! There might not be a smith on his server that charges less than 500k, so 500k could be a steal, yet you are telling him not to pay 250k?

1mill is not a rip off in my opinion. How many people here have run BH missions or seen some of the prices that these can be sold for? Fully layered suits sell anywhere for the 5-10mill range and up on my server. So why should an AS charge 250k for this guy so he can turn around and sell it for 5m or more?

How many were here when wook armor first came out? or the two new sets were added? the profession really hasn't seen anything like this since then. When wook armor came out, I had my little mall packed with wookiees waiting in line for armor. They were being very good and organizing the line themselves. I had 8 factories running segments and I was making suits as fast as the segments were coming out of factories. I would pount out the 10-20suits for the wookiees gathered around.

I had to be afk with a message AT ALL TIMES. once my shop was cleared I would put the armor up on vendors. I would put a chest up for 200k, then the next one for 300k, next 400k, etc till there was a chest on there for 1mill. DId similar with arms and legs. I did this because if I did not, my vendor would be completely empty at all times. I always tried to logout with 10 or so suits up (last suit being like3.5mill for entire suit). Funny thing is that even the 1mill chests would sell, and I really would have an empty vendor.

I tell you this story because of the latest craze. If you noticed the stratics, BH is the most popular profession. Every single BH now wants to have his own suit of BH armor. I am finally to the point where I do not have to be afk all the time, and life is a mild version of tell hell. I run a business. My business plan doesn't include decking out the entire server in BH armor at the cost of cores or at the cost of a regular unlayered suit, I have factories for armor like that.

Chances are the first guy is charging 1-2mill because he can, and he is too busy to do it cheaper than that. When I am crazy busy and afk people keep sending tells. I think they know that I am not really afk. I get the tell with some guy asking for armor, and makes me an offer. Then he raises his offer, it is almost like he is bidding against himself. When his offer is high enough *bam* I am no longer ark. This is not a regular thing, or how I practice, but time is money.

Untill the BH armor craze dies down people will pay what they think it is worth. I prefer to trade schematics and craft your armor for free (you give me all your extras and I hook you up when you get them all)

Its great that you can go out and collect the stuff yourself. However, when your chosen armorsmith uses your looted enhancers they will still have to invest a significant amount of their gaming time making your layers, segements, cores, final assembled armor. If you want to get a high health bonus on each piece then you have to use enhancers at the segment stage as well as peko feathers at the final assembly stage, hence the smith has to start from scratch to make your suit with multiple handcrafted stages.

I have crafted health enhanced suits for several customers, RIS, BH, Tantel, Mabari. It can take several hours depending on the type (value and number of same serial) supplied. I can be doing plenty of other things instead of making those suits with my alt. Looting components, running quests, grinding faction, or just hanging out with friends etc etc.

My preferred method of doing this sort of business is to agree a trade with the customer and then craft the armor for free, credits really don't work for me, its time I want to get back. The sort of trades that I do are for health enhancers, RIS components and BH schematics.

I know each server is different, but on chilastra I charge flat rates for making BH armor. I charge 775k for non layered and 1,050,000 for layered. I use to do it for my basic costs of 325k and 600k respectively, but was getting inundated with orders. I sat one night for 6 straight hours doing nothingbut bh armor. This got old real fast. So I instituted a 325k+450k assembly cost(50k per peice) to make it for non layered and the same for layered. This was done to still allow for customers to get what they wanted, but also if im gonna spend all my time to make it, then im going to make just a little more for my time.

The truth of it is, Im still doing alot of these armors. I make between 10 and 20 sets a night still. So, in the end, armorsmiths are going to charge what they think is fair, and players are going to pay for what they consider quality work.

I'd rather get the energy layers myself..sure it dosn't look great when you compare 6k kin vs 8k kin..but thats not really a big difference resistance wise.

However theres a big difference between 6k energy and 4k/3,8k energy.
