Thread: How is factional Armor selling?

Selling this armor for 1.5 - 2 mil is such a rip off. 400-500k is a reasonable price considering people have to bio link the armor (what were the devs thinking)

A suit of armor for 1.5 million credits or even above... thats crazy... sorry folks but thats not normal and not ok.

I for my part will not buy such armor... when armor is more expensive then a big Spaceship like a Nova (750k) then something is going seriously wrong... I don't say that its the fault of AS I say the galaxies are going too far. I think its up for the customers to say NO.

Have fun and good luck... but such prices for armor and other stuff are taking the fun away from me.

nope I don't, and I just stated my opinion just out of a feeling. I already said I dont give the AS any fault in such high prices... but I think they are to high... as I think that many other prices are in the galaxies... I look at them and think the whole credits are not worth anything anymore....

Well I play for over half a year, I play at a very slow pace and I hate all those grinding and such and like to have RP fun and sometimes a little hunt... I have about2 million credits, when you want to tell me that I should spend over half of this for one suit of armor, thats a quarter of a year earnings I made as a casual player. I hear you can make 1 million in one night in space no prob.. well maybe, but its also no fun (imho), to do the same stuff over and over again just to get money and buy something.

We now have spacemining, and get what its the same formula... shoot shoot shoot shooot and so on ((BOOOOORING)) but it perfectly makes clear what I think of the gamemechanics to earn money... grind grind grind. And prizes like 1.5 million per set of armor do give this boring grinding jobs the base they need.

Perhaps I do play this game not as it is intended... well I play because I like Star Wars... but maybe I should start to grind

If you could get the devs to lower the FP cost for the schematics AS's wouldn't charge 1.5 million per suit.

It cost me 510,000 credits per suit for schematic cost for imperial armor. Do you think I would charge less than that for armor then?

Darn now you guys are making me feel bad for selling unlayered faction at 1.5m each...

I have rangers in my guild who supply me with free hides.... and im now a master smuggler so faction cost is real low.... i just dont want to have to make 50 suits of faction a day that Id be hit for if I lower prices :/

I'm selling at 750k, special order only on factional, and i'm getting lots of orders with no advertising. I am hearing that some AS's on corbantis are selling for upward of 4 mill for factional armor and i think that's ridiculous, but i'm not paying for faction, my guild is keeping me in supply. I'm selling non-faction armor at 400k per suit. I've also used up 3 resource kits just to get decent resources because there aren't any out there for sale anymore. If more resources don't spawn on corbantis soon, armor crafting is going to grind to a halt (no pun intended).

Is that 510,000cr a one time fee per type of suit, or do you have to pay that EACH suit you MAKE? The four million the other guy complained about was a one time fee right? Ok, so sell three suits and it's paid for, can't use that as an excuse anymore.

As for the ranger prices, don't pay it. DOn't make armor till the prices come down. Have a ranger in your guild gather for you, create an alt character, find a decent ranger who's not stupidly greedy. I dunno, I really don't think AS's are trying hard enough to control the prices. There's more they can do to control prices, buy when they make 9 million a night, why try?

You have to buy 1 schematic for each piece of armor, eg chest plate, leggings, helmet etc etc. Each schematic has 10 uses... so it's definitely NOT a one-time fee. And no, you can't make manufacturing schemas to stick in a factory from the original schemas. For me, on a heavily populated (GCW wise) Imperial planet, using a master smuggler colonel to buy my FP and transfer to me, it's costing me approx 2.2million credits for one complete set of schemas.

So it's a recurring fee of 220k per suit for me. For some it's slightly less as they have master smuggler as their second prof and don't loose FP in delegating it, and for some, it's way more as they're buying in the FP.

Whoever said it wasa one time fee is either ill informed, or has found a way to exploit the schematics

I paid 1.5 mil for my Scout trooper armor and don't have a problem with. the resists are 7k Energy 5k Kinetic and 6k Elemental with 64k condition. Its definitly something that I will not use outside of pvp because of the cost. But I think it is well worth the price considering the time (it has to be hand crafted) the resources and the FP put into it.
The only thing that sux is it cost me 8k in FP to biolink. That I do not like or agree with.

this is a supply/demand question. Lots of demand so if we dont charge a wee bit more we would be swarmed with orders and the customers would riot or leave us if we couldent dish it out fast enough.

Sure there is a diffrence between how much it costs and how much we sell it for. The only factor isnt resource prices. Its resource availability, fp availability and the demand for the armor.

Sure i make money on this, but i also take pride in having the armor in stock or being able to fill an order fairly swiftly.

AND not least a question of how pesky it is to make the armor...

i sell it unlayered stat capped at 2mill and its running steadily.

I don't know if its a server thing. But again Flurry has several AS's that are able to make Faction armour and sell it 400-800k a set. The quality seems to b top with what I've read on here of stat caps. Not sure if this is available resources on flurry vs other servers but someone would b hard pressed to get over a mil let alone 2 mil for a set.

Yeah, I sell imp faction armor all the time, unlayered for about 750k a suit. I'm having the same problem with energy layers, pleixte is near impossible to locate.

I am working on Primus layers and I'll see how thoses go. Made a few quad layer energy Assault cores for a friend that came out with 5980 energy, so I would imagin those would make nice Shock Trooper Armor

OK, I have been an AS on Farstar since the Farstar server was born. Went straight up Artisan to AS.

Sure, I am selling everything fast atm.

Non factional armour for 600k. Factional for 800k (rebel). All unlayered stats are: Recon: K 5000 E 7000 SP 6000 - Battle: K 6000 E 6000 SP 6000 - Assault: K 7000 E 5000 SP 6000.

It helps that I am an AS / Smuggler template and that we have a Rebel 520 / Imperial 20 planet BUT and I am not sure if it just because I have a lot of resources of all kinds and stocked up on the post CU requirements from pre CU intel BUT I make a good profit at these prices.

I can see the sense in selling layered at 1.5m but considereing the stats difference over the unlayered cap once you move past 6k resistance, I am not sure it is worth it. Over 1.5m, I am not sure at all...
