When wookiee hunting armor came out, I had a wood that no one else did that allowed me to get 2 points higher on base than anyone else on the server. I was crafting it with 1 base point higher than the best composite available even. It was hshortly after that that I took my first break and went into seclusion I know of these offers you speak of, desperate offers, stalking you with tells and hanging out at your venodr kind of offers, 'it is just a game crazy people' kind of offers <wink>.
How did I get the wood? My girlfriend, who had been a chef, had harvested it for some subcomponents and dropped chef shortly thereafter. This wood was pulled up about 4 months before hunting armor was introduced, lol. I remember also just grabbing 100-200k stacks of anything that had good oq/sr and puttiing it into a 'just in case' stash for if new armors were introduced or something like the CU happened. I have dipped into that stash quite a bit -that little bit of foresight really pays off.
