ok, was just wondering how much this differs from server to server....
i have been experimenting alot with energy layers of late, using all resources from 30k res deeds (so best ever res spawns on my server are used) ....
and from these resources (with a 10% exp buff and 12pt AS suit including +26 assembly and bespin port and pyrollin cake) ...the best i can geton my energy layersis +85 on energy....
what lets me down badly is my alantium carbonate: best spawn is 936 aon OQ and like 14 on SR (rough stats)
what are the stats on your layers....and which resource lets you down the most (including the stats of this resource)

I believe you may not be using the "best" Alantium on your server. According to swgcraft.com, it looks like you are using Triciakaoris (953oq/14sr). The SR of 14 is killing you on this since the Alantium SR cap is 115. Triciakaoris's value is calculated as ((953/1000)+(14/115))/2 = 53.75%.
If you instead... used Ifak (639oq/69sr), you would get ((639/1000)+(69/115))/2 = 61.95%.
The difference betweent the two isn't huge, and neither of them is really all that great, but using Ifak, you should be able to increase the final Energy stat by about 24 or 25 on the finished armor. Basically, it should add another 2 points per layer.

ooo thanks, this might help a bit....although infinity's alantium carb ore is still sh1t

I'm just glad that many months ago I mine a few 100k of 990 OQ 90 SR alantium for absolutely no good reason. I had a few static harvesters over it at the time, I think.

thats the Ore Enala .... i just recognised the name ... Ifak
but you really shouldnt ask such questions on the board ... it will make us Infinitians cry .... 
and no im not commenting on them stats ..... ninteythreeeeeeeeeeeeee *cry* and that Ore ... i actually didnt even read those posts .. nono....

I'm in the same boat, A little while ago i harvested some alantium Ore on Wanderhome. Stats were 945 OQ and 114 SR. I was thinking this stuff is crap, but really needed to get some because I needed to make energy layers. Boy was I surprised when i found out the caps on that stuff lol.

Oh, and i got +89 with my resourse. And even though my Alantium Ore was good, i can guarentee you i'm not useing the best resources on my server as I just started armorsmith and most of my resources i'm using are the more recent spawns.
