Wow ! You think my thread did it? lol, what timing. All i have to say is thank you. My Wookie Bounty Hunter will not get scrapped , and with little time i have to play this game, it won't be wasted remaking a Human Bounty Hunter
. Thanks Thunder Heart and SOE. Oh , congrats to the armorsmiths, you now have a 2nd type of armor to make

You know, I too was once sceptical about wookie armor. I thought for sure I had known before I made my first toon that wookies couldn't have armor. So last week, I went back and looked for info that said that wookies couldn't wear armor. Nope.....nowhere in the manual, character creation, or on the main website does it say this. Anyway, I knew wookies needed armor to compete, but it was even further evidence that they needed it after this revalation.
To those who say "but it will make them too superior with their stat increases and armor." Um.....duh, just give them armor that doesn't have as high a stats.....um......like 30-40% max resists, instead of 70% composite.
come on people, it isn't that hard to figure out that this will work well if SOE does a good job of balancing (this is where the uncertainty lies). all you do is figure out what percentage resistswill result in both characters dieing at about the same time, based on dps, average starting stats, and differing armor resists...
anyone could probably do all of this math in about 5 minutes.

I agree , i don't know why so many are whining about this, its not like your gonna see a wookie running around in 80% full composite. The non-wookies are just scared that there is gonna be a few more obstacles on the battle fields now

/not agree
Wookiee armor would remove the starwarsness from wookiee's, although I feel for you that you need extra protection, perhaps having amorenative defense likeincreased mitigation or upper the Range/melee defense cap for wookiees?
I haven't learned the Wookiee-language! and I highly recommend it! It is so fun RPing with a wookiee and see all those Wrroarrr grauan! or whatever, you can say stuff like 'fakk you' without ruining your RP experience ![]()

I mean the WOOKIEE can say things like 'fakk you', not ME ![]()
Typo that can lead to many misunderstandings ![]()

Oh and everyone running around in full composite is starwarsy? come on , if you want to roleplay then people should only wear armor when fighting and when walking around the starport they should wear casual clothing. I can't see why some people are against wookies getting armor if they are in need of it. Try being a Wookie Master Bounty Hunter and then come talk to me. Unless you have tested being a wookie in PVP or against higher end mobs , you really have no idea what its like and i can't see how anyone could comment.

No I am against composite as it is, I think stormtrooper should be much more available to the player base, as you can see in the postStormtrooper Armor Schematic, Marine Armor Schematic.
I just think armor is not the right solution for wookiee's, although I agree you should have more protection I just dont believe in the armor idea. Perhaps adding defense bonuses to wookiee clothes? Or add more native bonuses, perhaps a increase in armor as your skill-levels go up, much like how you can get harder missions when you are more proficient.
