I am sticking with it for about a month after the CU hits. I will give it a chance and see how things work out. If I am still enjoying it I will stay armorsmith. I am certainly curious to see what all the new loots do to armor and will probably stick around just for that.
Would like to restock my private collection at least before I give up.
The single experimentation line rumour does sadden me somewhat though, I enjoy crafting armor because of the choices and challenge, I would rather it not become a push single button exercise.
Based on what is happening with ranger, my tka/ranger alt is probably going to change, probably go swords/tka/scout until the mythical ranger revamp in 2010

I'm thinking my CU plans will be to try out WoW for a while then maybe matrix online. This game will ge a big boom from EP3 but in 6 months time they will be looking at combining galaxies together due to the lack of people playing this game. You'll see a lot of free downloads and one month trails promotions trying to fix what is a broken game.

CURB hits May 5th and my account closes May 7th. No more game cards for me if the CURB goes live like it's listed now.
My alt is a Swordsman/TKM. Seeing that the defense bonuses will be void there is no reason to keep the TKM part, and I'm not really one for Bone Armor and Padded is going to be insanely expensive. That and I hate grouping with a passion. Group chat is aweful. Like I said in a nother thread, if I wanted to spend 30 bucks a month so I can be forced to hang out with children I'd get a membership to the local YMCA.
In short, I see nothing to keep me here. Unfortunately I just dropped a game card on the combat character last week so he'll be active if not online for awhile yet.
2 copy's of SWG before the price dropped- $115
16 months subscription for 2 accounts- $480
A machine capable of running it- $1200
Finding out everything you spent a year and a half working on has just been made useless due to one update from the Station- Priceless
Logging in and being prompted to spend another $25 on my raped and pillaged characters- Priceless

I will make a bunch of armor than either turn my AS into a combat guy or more likely save me the $15 a month.
I will play my Combat account until I get bored with fighting the small subset of NPCs and Critters that are within my complete templates LvL and than probably close down for good.
Just in time for a great summer

Quit, ifthe big nerf proceeds as it is. Grinding jedi looks like more fun than this nerf, and that isn't saying much.

I did AS in the holo grind days (and stuck it for a little while), I'm no longer a crafter at all because I wasn't very good at the old resource shuffling.
I must admit though I enjoyed it while I was one and I really do feel for you guys. There would be no way I would be keeping it if I was one, and the two AS I know are both so annoyed I think they have already started looking for a new game to move to.

Not a happy Mon Cal, been AS for about a year now, gathered prolly 75% of my own resources, earnt and paid for my 12point suit, got mt RIS cert, the other month i was even lucky enough to loot the interwoven schematic and been working towards that magic 80%/80% suit (@ 80%/79% atm, soooo close, heh) This was the prof that drew me back to SWG (took afew months out to try EQ2), because it took abit of skill/expermenting with results to get the end product you wanted, and now... i really dont know... for it all be taken down to one line of expermation just kills it all for me... as i saw someone say in another thread, just put in NPC vendors to sell "gerenic" rubbish.

If the following 3 changes go in as currently existing on TC5:
- Armor certs
- Single line experimentation process (effectively negating the 12 pt AS crafting suit that cost me 60 mil)
- Resources for armor NOW requiring OQ/UT as primary stats
I will quit AS, go carbineer for a while, then probably goto Middle Earth Online (MEO)...
Talk about the wind being taken out of our collective sails !

cu is turning into a version of swg for dummies. the whole development them should be fired along with all their department heads. if they are completely changing everything, may as well as start totally new.
just like all the cell phone companies changing news, new face, new logo, same old crappy service.

Honestly, I'm kinda glad the CF is like it is. I've had quite an addiction problem with this game, having 5 characters. I've already canceled all of my accounts and I might maybe keep my Jedi for a bit after the revamp. I'm sure I'll be back to play some for old time's sake, but my multiple account days are over, that's for sure.
I just don't understand what they are doing with the game. I'm baffled.

making an assload of comp, wookiee and whatever people will buy before the CU and then make a bunch at the CU and let the AS account expire. you people who are for the CU are getting what you wanted. I hope you are happy with what you will be turning this game into.
