That's just it - I was under the impression the devs said they would be slightly increasing the rare loot drops, to help with the economy. Putting GDK's back to their previous status doesn't solve that - therefore, I am left feeling that it was unintentional, and that the loot spurt we got with RIS was the desired result.

Once again all opinion. The only thing we know for sure is we had a short period where they were dropping very well, now they are dropping rarely once again. I'm guessing they are changing around the loot tables on the backend, and trying to adjust the rates on the drops so we're somewhere in the middle. but a loot table change would effect an entire category of loot not just GDK's(ie pearls are probably in the same category as GDK's).

No one wants the loot to be too common or it becomes worthless, but we also don't want it to be nearly impossible to find either.

Can you try to say something else other than attempting to justify yourself by saying "all opinion"?

Between the two of us, at least I have the dev comments reinforcing my opinion. That's not to say I am ultimate right or you are ultimately wrong - just saying that you are not at all discrediting my opinion by claiming it to be such - we are on a freaking messageboard - practically everything is an opinion, which makes you stating that something is "all opinion" sound downright ridiculous. That would be like me continuing to state that there is oxygen in the air - its a given, so there is no point in bringing that up.

That said, the rest of your point is well taken. Really, it's just your continual use of that first line recently that irritates me. I wouldn't mind somewhere in the middle, but I guess my point is that when the devs said RIS was "fixed", we had a lot of loot drops. Therefore, I am merely basing my opinion on what has come from the devs and the test center - consider it an informed opinion.

Either way, I think it would be great if we could get clarafication from the devs (Okram, can you ask for us) as to what the actual loot drop is supposed to be.

This way, we can end the speculation.

heard from two people who hunt for me that they have each killed 3 GDKs today, one person got 7 scales off 2 dragons, the other got12 total off all three.

either very lucky or maybe further adjustments are being made.

the reason my first line is usually about your posting being specifically opinion based is because you come across on nearly every one of your posts as though you are stating known facts and often talk down to the community members that disagree with your statements. If you expressed that it was simply your opinion or that your opinions are based on your expriences instead of implying or even stating that what you say are known facts then I wouldn't even feel the need to post. I have simply seen several posts of yours where you practically attack community members telling them they are utterly and totally stupid if they disagree with you. It's not my purpose to flame you at all, but simply to make sure those that are new or not as familiar with crafting understand that your statements are not "Known facts" but simply theories that may or may not be correct so that they can be taken as such.

I posted a positive comment in your thread where you actually supported your thoughts/ideas/theories/opinions(whatever term you'd like to use) with some actual statistics to support them. I understand that I do not by any means know all that there is to know about SWG or crafting and I appreciate those who post information and share it with the community, but I also think it's important to distinquish between what is known as fact and what is still unproven or theory based. It's nothing personal against you I just want to be sure that people see the posts as what they are. You may not purposely be doing it but often your posts come across as downgrading towards other community members and as being based 100% on facts when they are not.

I understand your position - just understand mine; when I hear people who claim to know crafting inside and out carry on about something that shows their obvious lack of knowledge of the subject they claim to know, that is what gets me irate, and when I start dishing out the verbal punishment, simply because I wish to distance myself from these people as much as possible, and I want to make it clear that such pig-headed, ignorant people do not represent the crafting body as a whole, so the devs or whoever reads their comments should not take it as if it is the majority is speaking.

It's just that I have been in this game from the beginning, and I have seen too many professions nerfed to boredom and the game practically ruined from the whining minority - so when one tries to represent my profession, it illicits a very passionate, heated, and vocal response from myself, because in those cases, I am not content to be a part of the silent majority.

All in all, I appreciate the honesty you have, although I think you misread how things went down (even so, I realize name-calling was not the right direction for me to go in).

Still, your input was appreciated, and I at least hope you can see where I am coming from.

I think they already increase the drops enough. it took me 7 months to collect enough GDK scales for my first suit. (it was a single drop back then).

RIS components now drops in groups on spawns have increase 4 to 5 times due to the increase in spawn time. you can get a full suit in less then 1 buff set. RIS is no long rare.Loot should be rare, it is no longer the case.

i find it funny when someone sends me a /tell

are gdk scales dropping?

i have killed 30 today, and got nothing, this sucks.

my responds

well it use to drop about 1/100 and you only get 1 at one time.

Believe me, I remember those days.

But the devs mentioned increasing the drop rate when the RIS stuff was already dropping in sets. So that is why I am curious about it.
