hmm then somethings borked on my recon segments ... or i got the "wrong/bad" resources to make the adv cores... my recon segments are all 947... and i dont hit the recon cap ...
For the cores, you're using a lot of named resources. They're more "take what you can get".
im not having any luck with my stuff the recon the best i have got is 836 i havent got to crafting anything else got no dath fiberplast (thats worth bothering with) and no decent hide
pity it has to be all about the oq

I'm hitting 965 with my Recon segments I can't get it to go higher even with better resources...and yes that is unlayered![]()
lucky you
I am getting 957 on unlayered recon segments, 979 on battle and 982 on assault. With these sorts of values, especially battle and assault I can use1-2 very medicore core resources and still hit the cap.
I have found you can play games with your segment and core resources in terms of balancing things out depending on what you have in stock.
Its also important to pay attention to the quantities in the schematics and hence relevant contributions of each resource in the segment and cores. For example Ican afford to use weaker hide in the segments but want to make sure I use teh best polymer/fiberplast and steelI can.

U boys should be able to cap the cores with segs at 944...check ur resourses...
All depends on the resource mix. If you core resources are rubbish then even 950+ segments won't give you the cap. I can cap fine. Of course, I have resource stacks going back 18 months so no surprise really. The core can add a maximum of 3000 and the segments 1000 each. So 6000 in total. Of course, you only need to reach 5600 to able to hit the cap since the appearance assembly adds another 400.
With my 982 assault segments and playing around with my best resources to see want was acheiveable I made some ~5900 cores, it still capped at 6000 during the final assembly. But doing this a few times with different core resource mixes allowed me to find a recipe using a couple of medicore core resources with other good stuff that gave me 5602 cores and these still hit the cap but I didn't have to use all uber resources ![]()
