My favorite is:
I need a suit of armor I guess composite with 90% to all including stun and encumberances down below 500's because I'm a non-human.

This one happeneda few days ago, and was actually from a guild member who I am good friends with...
Friend: Hey, I was goin around and wondering if you could make me some padded armor?
Me: Ughh, sorry, I dont have the materials to make that, what exactly were you lookingfor statswise? Im sure I could make something up with composite to match that...
Friend: 90% Kinetic Padded
Me: (sarcasm) Sliced or presliced?
Friend: gotta be presliced...
Me: impossible to make sorry
Friend: why? I saw someone else wearing it...
Me: because the cap is 80% no armor can be made above 80%
Friend: umm right... ok I'll just have someone else make it for me

Funny stuff, you guys should sticky this. Over on the Smuggler forum we have a similar thread where we share "horror" stories, always good for a laugh.

For the most part I haven't had many problems with trouble makers, most of the time I don't have my master armorsmith title up unless I'm actually doing some armorsmithing (or just feal like walkinga round all high and mighty armor god)
So, abothan I met at a starport was chatting with me about armor, seemed nice enough, I go on my way to yavin to finish up the rebel theme park and he sends me tells
Bothan: You got ubese on your veendor?
Me: Yup, got a nice big supply of that
Bothan: What's the stats?
Me: 67% Kinetic, you want a waypoint?
Bothan: Sure, are the suits prepackaged?
Me: No, I sell pieces individually.
Bothan *A million reasons why I should prepackage my armor just for him*
Me: I would put a suit in a pack for you if you waited for me to get done on yavin
Bothan: Nah, I'll just go get it piece by piece
*bout 10 minutes later, while I'm fighting stormtroopers and crystal snakes at the same time*
Bothan: I don't see any ubese on your vendor, all there are is PSGs.
Me: Umm... you checked the armor vendor and not the other ones right?
*snake hits me with poison, almost get killed*
Bothan: Yeah, you're all out of ubese, you really should keep it stocked *goes off on me giving him a shop wp that isn't stocked up*
Me: er.... did you hit the next button?
*long pause*
*e-mail notification of armor bought*
Not the worst but eh, I thought it was amusing at the time.

LOL Okram2k. I always love the people who give merchant and sales tips, but don't even know how to navigate or use a vendor.
(This story is when my server had like a 5 month no-spawn of Neutronium Steel and I was out of amorphous gemstone for kinetic layers)
Customer: "You have any ubese on your vendor?"
Me: "Sorry, out of steel and gemstone to make it. I am looking for some now to put harvestors on it. You want me to send you a mail when I get it stocked?"
Customer: "Sure. thanks a lot"
-60 seconds goes by-
Customer: "You have that ubese made yet?"
Me: "Um, I still need steel and that gemstone."
Customer: "I have a gemstone necklace, you could use that."
Me: I start laughing "Um, thats not the same"
Customer: "Just dismantle it and use the gemstone, have you found any steel or gemstone yet?"
Me: "No."
He then just send me about 20 more tells every minute asking if the armor is done before I just start ignoring him.

How about running through Eisley with the Merchant's "Recruiter" tag on. I had so many people ask me if they can declare with me.

FYI I am aPadded specialist on farstar... the words worst spamming galaxyThe tag I use now is both correct and... rare to see... "Materials Specialist" since I alsorun a resource store I thought it was apropriate!
Hey StevieC Nice set of shops (SARS) you have there on Aartan Ridge
I only ever wear my Master Armoursmith tag when I go on a raid... been to too many "can you repair my armour" spam attacks on Farstar. Mostly I wear "Master of Armour Design", cause I like it

Wow... I am happy i am on Shadowfire...
I have never had 1 person yell at me, tell me my armor sucked, or said anything negative about myself. I wear my Master Armorsmith title everywhere and sometimes i get the tell can you repair my armor but i just simply tell them they can do the same job as I and i give them a WP to my vendor with 99.5% tools on it.
Everyone keeps a nice stock of Ubese and Comp on there vendors and everyone just gets along.

Before I got my new title of Master Pistoleer, my tag would default to that of Master Armorsmith
I allways prefer to do my extractor runs when I log in so I can then play and do more 'content' related stuff without having to be interupted to go service my extractors.
When getting resources on Tat I go out of Mos Eisley to that wonderfull area to the SW of town thats desolate. I came thru the starport a couple times after it became the 'starter city' with my tag up and I get the /tell...
"Im new, can you make me some armor?"
Without saying a word I open a trade with the whomever sent the tell and I give them whatever used armor I happen to be wearing, usually ubese sinceI can wear that unbuffed, at least once my 80% kinetic Composite.
Some of thefouror five people Ive done this to actually try to pay me, usually a couple hundred credits they will offer. I graciously accept and /bow3 to them.
Most, if not all, dont realize how good a set of 74% ubese or 80% comp is. I like to think Ive helped a new player enjoy the game a bit more by doing this.

I've got a story.
I'm Armorsmith 4,1,2,4 so my armor is not all that great, anyway I get a
/tell Hi I'm new and I don't understand how armor works, can you help me.
After a very lengthy conversation (About 35 minutes) of explaining how resists work, and how encumberance effects your character, and how to migrate your stats/ even slicing the armor.
Anyway after all this it turns out that he had been given a load of credits by a friend to help him get going, and he had come from an armorshop that was stocking 80% composite, and he decided to buy that instead of my armor, because it was so much better.
I think he toook pity on me, and as a way of thanking me he bought an ubese shirt... lol That was the hardest sale of my life.

LOL Some great stuff in here. I'm a MAS as well and I just like the Deflector Technologist title. Makes me sound like a specilizedhockey goalie or something. Tried the Fence title in Smuggler for awhile but that got me way to many tells asking for 1-handed training. Finally got tired of telling people I'm not a Fencer and that Fence means I make drugs. Most never understood and still wanted training anyway. Since apparenly people started figuring out that Deflector Tech means PSG in my galaxy, and I hate making PSG, I did have to give up on that one though and switch over to Sentinel in Pikes because PIKES RULE!!! Now if only I could make that a Jedi Sentinel title...
