I can crank out 900k rifle xp in a set of buffs no problem

I can crank out 900K rifle xp in an hour. What does that have to do with the crafting mastery tree?

So if u ask me its not a big deal and definately NOT something to grind. Gah especially with looping macros going away!

So we're all okay with the idea that the overwhelmingly vast majority of people who will take and complete the crafting mastery trees are the people who receiving one-time holocredit? Where does that put us in three month's time?

I'm not okay with that. That is, of course, where I'm going to put my holocredit. I am only a casual gamer and I play this game for fun. There would be no way I could sit and get the xp requirements for the Crafting FS boxes. Getting force sensitive skills should be LESS of a grind and have more enjoyment to completing them.

People that complain that "I had to grind so it won't be fair if others don't have to" make me sick. The game would only be better if people could have FUN while leveling up instead of hours of mind numbing grinding until you hit master and THEN you can have fun in your profession.

I agree with that. I was an old-school master bounty hunter - no mounts, no vehicles, no player cities, no xp increase. By the hologrider mentality I should have lobbied for an increase in the required xp every time a change was made to speed up advancement in the investigation tree. Instead, I stoodwiththem in support when the xp requirements were essentially lowered so that they could speed through investigation on their way to their Jedi.

The only time I get seriously disappointed with SWG is when something that could be fun (i.e. alternative character advancement) instead becomes a ridiculous grind, just to keep the people who are going to grind no matter what the costs from finishing too quickly.

Hey Ittov, any idea what excatly the Crafting FS trees give ya? I think I remember hearing something about greater chance for amazing successes.

It's not going to give us extra experimentation points is it?

Nope, just better chances of amazings and sucessful assemblies. I was mostly interested because it would be nice to feel like I was moving forward again. With the current xp requirements that's not going to happen.

Honestly, the reward just isn't worth the effort. It is something to do though. I've been the same professions for 4 months now, with no changes. I haven't earned a single xp point since then.

Experimentation will increase your chances of getting Amazing Successes (not give you more experimentation points). Okay to have, but considering Lightsabers do not decay, a Jedi won’t be using this very often.

*hmmm* might be ok to get the line in FS Experimentation perhaps. At least some more amazings would be cool.

These requirements just arn't cool. They really need to be lowered a big chunk. They need to be reasonable.

meh. My crafter "barely notices anything about myself", so I won't even be getting a chance to try the new grind.

To get the old man I'd have to what... master a whole bunch of proffessions, and do a whole bunch of theme parks? Wait a sec... I thought the holo grind was over? I don't want to master proffessions I don't need or want.

Don't need to master anything.

My AS/merchant/artisan with no combat skill at all is 1 theme park away from going.

I visited all POIS.

Bought a probot and put some armor/buffs on and did Jabba and Nym Theme park,

Then I went to the warren and the place was so crowded there were no npcs alive and I was able to get my 2 badges solo in 20 min....

Getting the second warren badge gave me 500 imp factions pts so I went covert imp and now I have started to do the Imp Theme park with my trusty probot ....

It's not grinding at alll..

Once I am done with the imp Theme Park I will be glowing..

You do realise that after you start to glow , and get visited by the old man, and visit the village of Aurellia you have mountains of exp to grind? The quickest way ive heard of grinding to padawan for the crafting trees is by creating landspeeders, and to reach padawan by creating landspeeders you have to create approximately...

21000 Landspeeders.... which is approximately 90,000,000 units of resources allowing for critical failures.... and crafting at a rate of 10 per minute, which is an ambitious number, it would take you about 35 days of 24/7 non stop grinding.

This is using i think, the quickest method. And these numbers are an underestimate. These are the numbers based on my friend's wrong impression that you only need 4 branches, instead of 6.

Dont get me started on how long it will take if you wanted to grind to padawan with armor crafting exp.

you can trade rifle xp for FS xp and use it for FS crafting boxes. You dont have to use armor xp for the boxes
