Where is the best place to find these animals, I've searched for hours and have yet to find a single one. Any point in the right direction will be appreciated.

North of Theed, near the rebel PvE battlefield. And yes, there was a big shadow, screaming, and lots of blood. Mine.

In addition to getting a ranger to find you one, bring along a commando with a big-assed flamethrower.

Is it for the RIS armor loot? I would like to know if the loots in game yet also. I got a bunch of dune kimogila scales and 1 of the scales was in green but had the same attributes as the mormal ones. I need to know if this is for the RIS armor.

I have found and killed one albatross. I found it on naboo, north of keren. I have looked for many hours since and have not found another. It did drop an albatross feather tho, so the Drops are working it would seem. This was 2 weeks ago. I try to spend an hour a night looking for them while I run out to harvestors or while restocking vendors.

It was a fairly difficult battle, even for me, so I'd suggest to bring help, or a good tank.

The far southeast corner of the Naboo map is a good place to hunt for these - I have seen aat least oen every time I go out there to hunt Faambaas, and on some nights I have seen multiples. Never two together though.

It's part of a new quest that only armorsmiths will only be able to take supposedly with the next big patch. I think its supposed to have effectiveness levels around that of composite but with a lot less encumbrance.

Yes, the RIS armor component from the ablatrosses does drop. That'd be a peko peko albatross feather. However, the hermit on dant that gives out the RIS schematic is bugged, and the armorsmith's don't seem to think that it will be fixed any time soon.
