ever hear of a spy? Believe it or not faction is just an ideology. It's as easy to fake as an English accent. Don't take spy's out of the game, they make being a leader more interesting.

I'm sorry, but if you want to make faction armor, you should have to PICK A SIDE.
I keep getting tells from people asking me why I dont make rebel armor as well as stormie... well lets see.... maybe its because I'm IMPERIAL?
Maybe they are a smuggler as well. If so, I see nothing wrong with that- its ideal roleplaying! Smuggling to both sides!

Sorry but man no way in hell /wink
let me back this up.... Im a neutral smith.. and a smuggler too boot (not by skills but the way i ROLE PLAY-- you do know what that is being a MMORPG.. sooo your telling me i cant make both faction?? naa sorry bro i have to say ive agreed with you on lots of stuff.. but this... NO WAY !.. i pay my smugglers good money to do this for me... I think you are steping on more than one mans toes on this one (smugglers thats the way they make there money BTW)
ANd to top it off seeing its all hand made.. is there anyone one smith that can really do both?? i dont think soo.. I have 50 + suits in my in box from both sides.. and an etire guild waiting for me to get back from making reb... im in a neutral/imp guild btw.. but they understand my role as a smuggler and deal with it
there are soo many problems with armor right now like the whole what assault is.. too the 6k natural for tka.. this is soo far down the list i dont know why your bringing it up.. especailly consitering that it costs on average of 4.5 mill per round to grab all 3 sets..

I get these all the time. Just tell them I'm imperial and can't get the rebel schematics. No complaints yet.
That's what I do as well...haven't had a problem yet...Matter of fact, with just selling the Imperial faction armor I can barely keep up with demand as it is...I couldn't handle both sets of faction armor if I wanted to !

In the current system if you switch factions you lose your bases, faction pets and the ability to use faction items. Smugglers take hit every time they change the FP cost of items as they did with the little GCW update. I think there should be a penalty to changing faction, it shouldn't be a line you can jump back and forth across whenever you like.

Even if they remove schematics all that means is that people who really want to just have to jump a bit more often. Go imp, make 20 suits, go reb, make 20 suits.. repeat

I've only had one request for Imperial faction armor. I explained to him that I can only make Rebel faction armor and then told him to go check out certain vendors in a certain city. I figured it's in better taste to be polite and refer him to someone I know will make him a good suit for a reasonable price than scream bloody imp or somehow try to find an exploit that'll allow me to make both Rebel and Imperial faction armor.

I sell armor to whoever is buying, always have and would say always will if I continue to donate my monthly fees. I would like to stock both. I am sure most AS have always sold plenty of armor to both factions as well pre-CU. Now, that factional armor is crafted a smith should be able to decide for themselves whether they want to stock an opposing factions armor or not. Same with slicing....doesn't have to be factional.

Why worry about what other smiths are doing?
