Does anybody else feel that it is wrong that some smiths can work the system and provide both Rebel AND Imperial armors?
I'm sorry, but if you want to make faction armor, you should have to PICK A SIDE.
I keep getting tells from people asking me why I dont make rebel armor as well as stormie... well lets see.... maybe its because I'm IMPERIAL?

I agree; pick a side. And let me tell you it's not easy being a Mon Cal imperial. Even on a winning planet I pay 40-55k in faction just to get a set of schems for one type of suit.
Wish they would adjust that cost modifier a bit.

I get these all the time. Just tell them I'm imperial and can't get the rebel schematics. No complaints yet.

I just teamed up with a rebel AS and we sell out of the same shop. Neither of us are PvP ortake partin the GCW. We look at it as business.

I've been neutral since I started playing, so it felt natural to offer both sides. After all, there's more profit selling to both sides of a war!
I don't know whether it is a bug or not, but you don't have to be the faction whose armor you're producing, you only need that to buy the schematics. Once you have them, you can make them no matter what you belong to.

I agree Mauro. I have had a lot of people ask me to make Imperial armor for them and I say hey man, I'm a Wookiee and I actually do play as a Master Rifleman so there is no way I'm going to make a lot of my in-game Rebel buddies mad just to make a few extra credits on disgusting Imperial Armor.
I suppose a major issue is that a few of the guys out there don't have anything invested in combat or GCW things so they really couldn't care less.

Probably isnt a bug. It's likely that way because if you decided to switch factions you'd suddenly basically loose out on a bunch of FP. Last time I bought schematics they ran me about 12k FP per set. And since my AS isnt a combatant I have to buy almost all my FP. Which isnt cheap.
Besides it's not hard to find your factions side of armor. I mean I get people asking me all the time for imperial armor. And I just tell them. Sorry. I'm rebel. I cant make it. Go talk to AS such and such. Their imperial.

In the current system if you switch factions you lose your bases, faction pets and the ability to use faction items. Smugglers take hit every time they change the FP cost of items as they did with the little GCW update. I think there should be a penalty to changing faction, it shouldn't be a line you can jump back and forth across whenever you like.
