I'm surprised no one is mentioning the fact that we are now allowed to respec.

I wrote a new post with my analysis of the new weighting system. Basically if you collected resources according to the new system they're most likely worse now. Basically you can now do (OQ+SR)/2 again to see how good something is, but not how far you can experiment it.

rofl, so i just paid 20-30 cpu for a few stacks of kammris that had a lower oq but higher sr than then 1960 combined oq+sr kammris that i have millions of, and now my original stash will probably end up being better overall. wunderbar

Yeah.. since I went out hard collecting resources I'm out a pretty penny too, not to mention all that wasted time. At least I didn't toss away my previously best OQ/SR stuff yet.


It isn't quite (OQ+SR)/2 since SR has somewhat smaller range, so it might still be better.



Edit: It is (OQ/1000+SR/MAX_SR)/2 .. so for most resources OQ950+ you can just add a divide by two to get a reasonable average.

all I can say about this respec is that customer service better reimburse me for the freaking 60 crafting sp i dropped to begin my smuggler grind.... they should have just let us respec from the start.

Umm, back to the topic ... will those RIS layers / segments make a RIS suit better or does it depend on its stats? Is it a replacement to the normal layers or an enhancement? And it is loot drop of NS and Peko Peko, if i get it right.


Any input would be very appriciated.

Feathered appearance enhancers appear to still be broken...no discernable change for adding one to both a piece of RIS and a piece of faction armor compared to like pieces crafted with otherwise identical parts and resources.

What the feathered layer appearance does is adds +5 to Health. Originally, the mod worked right after the CU dropped. Somehow or another this stopped or broke.I just made a piece of RIS using an old feathered layer I had and I also made a new feathered layer. The old feathered layer did not give the added +5 health to the piece but the newly post 5-10-5 patch layer did give the +5 to health.(So now there is a max of +350 health a suit of armor can give)


I also noticed the condition and overall protection went up a good bit which is kind of encouraging. My old pieces were hitting for around 91k condition and now they are over 100k condition. The protection went up a couple of hundred points as well.


Added note: The changed the appearance of the peko peko feathers, gurk hides and gdk scales. I didnt have any wooly frags in my inv. The feathers are blue feathers and the hides and scales looked like the hides do now.

are all feathers offering the same bonus or may they vary?


And may ns layers offer better bonus then feathers?


How do you hit +350 Health? How many feathers would that need?

For god sakes can i get someone who ACTUALLY plays the game to write up these notes. I mean come on, its like we are playing in a system of idiots where none of the dev's or programmers have a clue whats going on in game cause THEY DONT play.


You know you would think sony would pay people, instead of asking for us to play on test center all the time to test crap, to do nothing but play the game 24/7. Wow theres an idea!
