Thread: Armor Hole

I know this might not be the right forum to place this post, butI figured if anyone knew about this you guys would. I have recently...every since JTL came out....had several combat experiences where my Armor just did not work. Which is not good when going up against a NS protector. Has the Armor Hole raised it's ugly head again, or did it never go away??

I posted in another thread that last night I had a sith thug get me with Fan shot at the village for 3000. Armor offered no protection and I went from full ham to incap in 1 shot

#1: Are you wearing a "cheat suit"? As in, just the helmet, chest, boots, gloves?
#2: Are you wearing an Infiltrators Suit? What clothes are you wearing underneath the armor?

yes i am weraing the 4part set and under that an ordinary tactical skinsuit. And don't worry it also happens to me when i wear full armor so it cannot be that though i think. And under the combat chat tab sometimes there is nothing said about your armor prevented **** amount of damage after the **** hit u for **** damage.

don't use a "suit" under the armor.

how can that affect that

The reason is because you are only wearing 4 peices. You have to wear the entire suit against these high mobs sometimes. In groups I get away with boots, helmat, gloves, and a chest plate. But if the mob dosnt like you and focuses on you, then you will get hit in your armor holes.

Most likely, your melee mitigation isn't level 3 like the others were. Or one of your armor pieces is 0/0 condtion. Don't listen to the clothes underneath guy, he's clueless on his infomation

When I tried using full armor it did 40-50 damage usually but there still was a spot where i got hit for about 300 damage.

I know that Armor Hole used to be a huge issue b/c when they created armor they left a possible hit location at the eyes. Since the eyes were seperate from the head on their hit location charts and since there was no eye only armor, some hits that randomly rolled up to the eye location came through without any percentage of reduction. Like I said, it used to be a huge thing awhile back and I am pretty sure that it has been corrected. I don't know if this is what effected you or not but if it is then hopefully it is pretty rare and random (I used to get armor holed all the time but have not for a long time now). Good Luck!

How did u get rid of that then. It is really annoying not to be able to kill anyone here . And does it really matter if i am using a skinsuit under 4set armor or ordinary clothes ?
