Just a little note here. I dont know how much PvP you do. Or how thigns are done on what ever server is local to you. But load kiling is par for the course on Bria at least. If your red. Doesn tmatter if your loading in or not. If there is enemy about they will almost allways swarm you and kill you the moment you turn attackable. ALSO you do NOT have to be 'fully loaded in' so to speak and able to see the screen before your attackable. I can certainly attest to this as I have been killed at least 12 times on loadin. Well before i coudl see the screen. And I'd find out I was allready dead from loaded in guildmates over our vent server before I could even see that for myself. Infact on some of the worst plannets for lag i'd be dead a good minute or more before I could see the screen.

It's perhaps not 'honourable' but hey. Partsmuggler right? Par for the course with smugglers. And you think that the cl80 jedi would have stopped for one moment to think if they should gank a level 56? Hell no. I've seen (for what ever bloody reason) CL5's and the like overt. And no one ever spares them either. General policy for most PvPers at least on Bria is if it's red it's dead. And that extends from both factions. Not that there arnt more honourable exceptions made be it by individuals or guilds. But it's the sort of thing one comes to expect of PvP on SWG in my experience. So i'm hardly ever supprised when it happens to me.

QFE for Bloodfin also...and also the comment I made that led to a bunch of now deleted posts....Good for him.

so actually your friend was a smuggler, right? I mean sure he mastered armorsmith, but that could just as well have been shipwright or something, cause he used smuggler skills to do the killin with. And er yeah that's funny, but I don't think that makes the jedi a failure. Maybe his system is just really slow. Not as though it matters, just sayin you're being kinda harsh to a guy who was just out lookin for some PvP....and you're doing it in the profession forums and not on your server forums....

Just an observation....

Anyone who loads into a starport overt deserves to be load killed. It's not griefing unless it's targeting a specific player for harassment by the way. There's no way on my end to tell if a player is loaded in or not anyway. As a bounty hunter I'd wait for my mark to move (unless I got trigger happy and detonated my droid when somebody else moved), but the GCW should be about tactics and loading in at a major starport isn't good tactics.

Umm before you make youself look ignorant he is a lvl 56 armorsmith. I could see if it was a group of full temp jedi ganking the one loading jedi, but lets get real, an armorsmith isn't exactly intimidating. besides you can't attack before the person is done loading anyways.

Still, with the span of time between whenthe character is loaded and when he is actually able to respond to the attack (especially in a city with all the objects/toons that needs to be loaded there), or even target the attacking character, I think it is a very, very uncool thing to do.

You are not able to attackl until he is FULLY loaded. I.E. can see screen, and can move around. In some instances they actually take a few steps trying to run away before you can hit them. It also automatically targets whoever hits you (at least my computer does when it happens to me). The fact still remains though he was an armorsmith. You are a failure at the game if one beats you. NO MATTER WHAT. End of story. Especially a full temp jedi.

oh also for the record he only load attacked the jedi. all the others were in duels or from him fidning overts in a city.

Well I have never been attacked before I could see my screen maybe it has something to do with load times I don't know. All I know is the jedi loaded in then stood there for a second, and when grever started to attack, the jedi ran around and started fighting back.

Smugglers beating Jedi, even on a load-kill, that is AWESOME! That thing about the Armorsmith, I don't believe it because I know that AS's have no combat skills, lol. An AS has never won a fight against anyone!

Don't get me wrong tho, I think Armorsmith should be a combat prof, with devoted skill points much like Smuggler. They both craft/enhance combat gear & it would be expected that someone that makes the best gear would know how to use it, this involves Weaponsmiths too. I'd jump on Armorsmith in a minute if it's skill trees were structured the same way as Smuggler, a nice mixture of combat & crafting skills.

I have no desire to be a hybrid like the smuggler. The engineer that makes the stuff isn't necessarily the best at using it. With that said, It would be fun to have /areaCraftingToolAttack!
